So we're going to kick-start back up our weekly "Sunday Sunrise" series with a very serious, life-or-death question:
What scary movies, if any, did you watch this Halloween?
My wife, who hates horror films with a passion, consented to a viewing of Sleepy Hallow, which wasn't so much "scary" as it was "bloody". Think she'll be okay tonight.

Earlier today I watched Michigan get absolutely stomped into the ground by an inferior team, and just now I watched the Phillies lose to the damn Yankees to trail 1-2 games in the Series. Both extremely scary.
It wasn't on Halloween, but two nights ago I watched a deer jump out in front of my car on the highway 1/4 of a second before I slammed into it. That was pretty scary too.

Usually the whole of October is devoted to horror movies for me, but I was sick most of the month so I slacked off a bit this year. ::SHAME::
However, after taking the nephews and niece trick or treating, I watched the classic horror on TCM: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Spencer Tracy version), The Body Snatcher. What few I got to see earlier included: I Walked with a Zombie, The Man They Could Not Hang, The Walking Dead, The Black Room, Psycho, and while not on TCM, The Serpent and the Rainbow, and I finished that 90s Dark Shadows revival series (So Adrian Paul has played [at least] an Immortal, a vampire, and a zombie?).
I've seen about 3/4 of them before, but I like 'em anyways.

I just ended an unnecessarily long Halloween movie marathon. The loveofmylife and I watched Saw, Silent Hill, and the Descent. Of those, I had only seen Saw, which I still think is great*, Silent Hill was more on the disappointing side, and the Descent was fairly good.
I'll include Paranormal Activity to the list, even though the loveofmylife and I saw it on the 30th. Maybe I'll save my thoughts on that one for a new thread...
*although Saw's the reason the night was stretched out to ludicrous lengths; the DVD we rented skipped 3/4 through to the point of unwatchability, and the local Blockbuster didn't have an extra copy, so we ended up watching the end online *shhh*

Freddy vs Jason, The Evil Dead, and some version of Frankenstein starring Grand Moff Tarkin. Good times--especially when my buddy's wife insisted that we turn on the lights when the rain and wind started.

At the party last night we partook of Army of Darkness, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Interview With A Vampire.

Not really a movie, but I caught part of the Ghost Hunters live broadcast/countdown/thing, which has become something of a tradition for me. The live broadcast is more entertaining, because it's fun to watch how much harder the guys have to strain to make something out of nothing, due to being robbed of the luxury of post-production.

Well, my BFF and I WERE going to see Jennifer's body at the movies, but the release date got pushed back (I think for the Michael Jackson movie). I wanted to watch Trick 'r Treat, after hearing how awesome it was, but all the copies were out! (sob!) So instead, I just watched Sleepy Hollow - nineteenth-century-goth!Johnny Depp... YUMMY! With bonus not-random beheadings, AND The Walken acting very... um, Walken-ish?

My girlfriend loves the Halloween series, so Halloween and Halloween II (both the originals; she likes the remakes, but not as much) have become something of a tradition for us. In addition, we watched the original 1931 Frankenstein with Boris Karloff, and the first Evil Dead (both of which she had never seen). The night before, on the 30th, we watched the original Nosferatu, which neither of us had seen before.

I spent most of the month of October watching horror films. The one I watched on the actual day was Re-Animator.
Others I enjoyed included... -The Thing -Misery -Diabolique -The Orphanage -Nightmare on Elm Street -The Fly -28 Weeks Later -Evil Dead 2 -The Exorcist
