It wasn't appropriate. We have nothing against dumb humor, but we also reserve the right to protect the forum against gross stupidity. We don't want to see the forum degenerate into fart and drunk threads spamming up the place.

Its not like it was against the rules Technically, you have something of a point. But that would be our oversight, considering we've never had forum posters who thought their first thread creations should be such high class material as "bang yo head on the keyboard" and "do you fart in public bathrooms?". Consider the rules changed, and consider yourself warned. You HAVE broken our obscenity rules. One warning only on this board. What's with the nazi moderating? Call myself, Rich, or Justin a "nazi" again, and you're looking at account deletion and IP block. Treat your fellow posters with respect, including your mods, or feel free to discover the rest of the wild, wooly internet out there. If you want to discuss this further, drop me a private message. |

I don't think we have one on this forum, it was over on Delphi. Does that still exist in some ignored corner of the internet? If it doesn't...hey Pooly, wanna do a reenactment?

This thread only has one page, it could use a hijack.
Anyway, when Frodo was stabbed by the spear-wielding troll, he was already against a rock. His armor was only a thin chain mail with no padding underneath. Mithril or not, he should be dead. Like a tomato in a plastic bag set on concrete and walked on. The book was much more realistic--it was an orc, Frodo had room to be thrown back, and the spear broke.

You know the ending I originally imagined it would have was: Gandalf makes Frodo bow down and be his B*tch, and Eowyn, and Arwen declare their undying love for each other.
Now THAT would've been an ending!
