I was a little disappointed that Juno lost Best Picture, but only because I was hoping the Academy would serve me up a pleasant surprise like they did when Crash won. No Country for Old Men was completely deserving, & I'm really glad the Coens won Best Director(s.) A really awesome movie (though not as awesome as Juno.)
Overall, very predictable except for Tilda Swinton's win over Cate Blanchett & Ruby Dee. I also was expecting "Raise It Up" from August Rush to win Best Original Song until I actually heard "Falling Slowly"... and immediately bought it off iTunes.

I was so happy Tilda Swinton won, she's a great actress and totally deserves it (not that Cate Blanchett didn't). Also, her acceptance speech rocked.
Other stuff I liked No Country won best picture Juno won Best Original Screenplay Javier Bardem won Best Supporting Actor They let that lady come back out and do her speech No long, teary speeches in general
Stuff I didn't Ratatouille won over Persepolis The musical numbers for Enchanted were all pretty lame Pirates 3 was nominated for makeup design?

Makeup design: especially since all the other nominee's clips were pretty interesting, and Pirates' clip was them giving Johnny Depp a tan.

Oh yeah, big WTF moment:
No Brad Renfro in the montage of dead people!
IMDb posted the academy's response when asked about it: "It is simply not possible to include everyone in that segment."
So they can include six different agents but can't make 2 seconds for someone who was actually onscreen and at one time (albeit briefly) considered one of Hollywood's rising stars? That's bull.
Also: not nearly enough applause for Lois Maxwell.

I am disappointed that Cate Blanchett did not win for Best Supporting Actress. I saw Michael Clayton and I like Tilda Swinton but I didn't think she stood out particularly or was anything special in that one. Cate Blanchett blew her out of the water with I'm Not There.

Yay! Everything I wanted to win, won.
Much, MUCH better than last years Academy Awards, this show got right to the point with a funny host, great clip montages and no annoying global warming propaganda or...Ellen.
