Not really... where will they break the story? Feels like they're just trying to squeeze more money out of the franchise.
Plus, by the time they do the last movie, 17-year-old Harry is going to be played by a 22-year-old actor.
Edit: But David Yates as a returning director is a positive move.

Strangely, I feel vaguely insulted considering that Deathly Hallows is -what?- the 3rd or 4th shortest book in the series, but they wedged in the bigger books into one movie.
My only guess is they'll break up the book (I'm callin' it right now!) where Ron leaves. That way they can really drive home Harry and Hermione wandering around not knowing what to do for the first half of Deathly Hallows .
The age thing doesn't bother me. But then again, once you've grown up during the 90210 era, you don't even notice things like balding high schoolers...

It's the second longest. I don't mind at all that they're extending it & they kept Phoenix as 1 movie; so much of book 5 was made up of subplots, & a lot of fans hated that. The difference with Hallows is that you can't cut anything out. All of it is so important to the basic plot. You can cut the SPEW storyline from the others, & I almost don't mind cutting Ron as Keeper on the Quidditch team, but what could you possibly cut from Hallows? Not much. If they tried, people would riot in the streets. The full movie version of it would probably be close to 5 hours, & only hardcore fans would sit through that.
And I'd take a 22-year-old Harry over either a butchered version of Hallows or a completely new actor.
