WHY has SciFi stopped showing Mystery Science Theater?! Why would they do this?! That show was the only reason I WATCHED that channel! It was the only thing WORTH watching! And now...it's gone.

Yeah, the contract for reruns expired in January, but they do have five different DVD sets available now, a few of which include SciFi era eps if that's specifically what yer hankerin' fer.

Might I also point out once again that you can download ALL non-commercially released episodes of MST3K (which is most of them) for FREE at the following site, after a 20 minute setup time for their eDonkey server: www.dapcentral.org/At my last count I had over 150 episodes of MST3K goodness sitting on my harddrive thanks to these guys. ;D

Wowsers, that eDonkey thing sure is ponderous and hard to set up. Seriously, I know I'm not the most computer literate person in the world, but could they possibly make it any more complicated? I had to give up.
I had been aware of DAP, but wasn't aware that they did, in fact, host some way of letting you DL from them. Of course, with a crazy program like eDonkey and all kinds of weird IRC knowledge required, they might as well *not* have one.
A lot of MST3K can be found in more user friendly places, though, like Kazaa Lite (if you're brave, but I have had zero problems with it).

Eh, I'm not a big fan o' dling stuff, considering I'm just using dial up, and it would take about 80 billion years to download an ep. I'm probably gonna look into buying the dvds. Sigh.

No, I already tried using the guide, and I hit a wall when something didn't happen the way they said it would and then some file they claimed would be there wasn't.
I was gonna ask for help, but when I attempted to join the forum they never auto-emailled me my password so I decided it was more trouble than it was worth.

Lo. Sheesh, Macaroni. I guess you just weren't meant to setup that thing. I mean, really, what else COULD have gone wrong?

See this is what I refer to in my trade as knowing "how to use" a computer rather than knowing "how to know" a computer. Oh you can memorize processes all well and good, but unless you understand the meaning behind those proccesses you have to blindly follow specific methods. If those methods don't seem to work then you have no clue what to do because you don't know WHY they don't work. When you know "how to know" then you understand why those proccesses might not work and may be able to find a workaround. Don't feel bad, in my experience (and I work as a computer support technician) about 85% of all computer users are in your position. They know to not feed the creature after midnight, but they don't know why i.e. the nature of the beast.
If you need any help, I might be able to guide you through it if you have an instant messaging program of some sort.

Haha, I like how all that tied into a Gremlins reference.
