I know the news came out a week or so ago, but I'm still royally disappointed. Most Mutants here aren't terribly wild about the show but I know this is a safe place to express my unhappiness and my post won't be hounded by loser fans that post hopeful rumors like, "it might come back next season with a limited amount of episodes" without something to back it up. It's just been a terrific show for the past seven years and I'm bummed that it's probably going to end without any closure. And I'm just sad it's ending at all. If there was such a thing as a message board wake for TV shows I'd totally throw one and invite you all. **lifting my parting glass** Cheers!

I'm sad about it too. It's been my favorite show for a while, and even though this past season hasn't been as good as those before, it's still gosh darn better than most other shows on TV right now.
In a way, it makes sense to end it now. It feels like the whole show since the pilot had been building up to Rory's college graduation. But I do wish they'd at least known this was the absolute last before so they could end everything properly.
I'm probably going to be a mess Tuesday night.

I've only started watching this show recently. My grandma has all the dvds and loaned them to my mom and I - I'm up to the end of season 4, and my mom and I are inching slowly through them together, so she's seen about half of season 1. I'm sad to find out that it's over, even though I have more ahead of me and haven't seen any current episodes. I can't believe I'm really discovering it this late.

**spoilers** Oh, that episode couldn't have been more fitting. I'm not a crier, but I admit I could have bawled instead of politely letting tears run down my cheeks. The closure--Lorelai finally voluntarily agreeing to Friday night dinners, Rory getting a great job, Luke showing his "feelings", Richard telling Lorelai how wonderful of a person she must be to have an entire town celebrate her and Rory. Oh, and the most moving was Rory telling Lorelai how she gave her everything she needed. I'm glad it didn't end with a wedding or some grand event like that...it ended with the mom and daughter relationship as the center...just as it should. I didn't think it would end that well, but it did. I'm going to miss it horribly, but everything is as it should be. Ah, shucks here I go again...

****Spoilers**** Don't worry about crying -- while my family was downstairs watching American Idol (I swear I was adopted,) I was up in my room sobbing into my pillow. I loved the end, especially when Lorelai agreed to more Friday night dinners and then the last scene with her and Rory in the diner....So perfect....

Goodbye Rory Gilmore. I'll miss you.
Alexis should move to Heroes now, does anybody know if she's still dating Milo Ventimiglia?

Apparently they split up in 2006. Neither she nor Lauren Graham appear to have anything big in their queues. I'm midway through season 5 now and loving it, but also beginning to feel a dread I never felt watching any other TV on DVD, know that it's going to end soon. To the Delorean, I say!

Are you trying to tell us, Mike, that there was a straight male somewhere in the world who watched this show? Because you just threw everything I thought I knew into complete disarray. I hope you're happy. -D

Dude, Alexis Bledel is smoking hot. Surely you know this. You saw Sin City.
Guys, help me out?

My dad loves this show too, though he swore to stop watching after Rory slept with Dean. He doesn't want to initiate watching it, but he sits happily while my mom and I do, and often after dinner there's a lot of lines like "I'm not watching anything particular, if you guys want to Gilmore..." (Yes, it is a verb in my house.) And he's got four kids so I'm hoping Drew doesn't know more than I do in this case.
