Firefly also made a cameo on my blogginator today. Well, not a Firefly-class ship. More like a hat. That I made. It's quite cunning. Okay, you guys caught me, I really just wanted to show this off.

Has anyone noticed that "River" is now with the Sara Conner Chronicles and that Capt Reynolds is now a Creature on Despised House Wives?

Ms. Jellybean, now I'm really gonna have to get off my duff and knit one. A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything.

The hat in the photo looks crocheted rather than knit. Am I right? Do I get a prize?

My roommate's mother is currently making us a pair of Jayne hats...which is good because I can't sew/knit/stitch to save my life!

The hat in the photo looks crocheted rather than knit. Am I right? Do I get a prize? Yes it is crocheted. But I have no prizes to distribute. I'm learning how to knit, but I really didn't have the patience to learn on circular needles with a hat. I've been crocheting since fifth grade and I decided it would be much faster to do what I know.

Once you get started on the circular, it's much easier than knitting it flat because it's all knitting, no purling. It's just the getting started without twisting the stitches that's the tricky part.
