Okay, I have a new bit of RPG jargon I desperately want added to the official RPG vernacular. I figured since these boards have so much influence over everything, posting here would be a good way to go about it.
"Turtle" is the aformentioned slang. It refers to a character in the adventuring party that sucks beyond comprehension at first, but eventually ends up being the baddest dude (Save the president!) alive, either by way of especially potent leveling, class change, and/or plot element.
The genesis of this term is found in Shining Force II, in the form of Kiwi, a useless little turtle who becomes a horrid, fire-breathing monster of death when promoted.
