So you like playing Jedi Outcast on-line eh, Pooly? LOVE the online Outcast. Haven't played in a while, so I'm rusty like you wouldn't believe, but I just adored it. Probably because I became extremely fond of dueling. Sure, the CTF and deathmatches were fun, but I absolutely loved being able to square off in the different arenas and just duel one on one. The people who played that style of game were universally nice and had a good sense of sportsmanship. 'Twas excellent. I'm surprised we still haven't heard Rich pipe up yet. He reportedly didn't see the sun for weeks when Outcast came out!

I think a friend of my has Outcast but doesn't play it anymore. I'll have to ask him about it. If I get on-line with it I'll let you know.

Oh, you want an Indie Game that is fresh in concept? Check this action out: www.rtsoft.com/dink/It has RPG elements, it has bad guys to kill, it has "zelda-like isometric" fun! Oh wait, I think I'm proving the author's point. Oops. However, how many games can you play where you can chop off a ducks head and watch it run around bleeding to death, and how many games can you hit on your hot aunt or try to pet a Wizard because he's so "cute and tiny"?? I'm tellin you, video games are not dead, they're just going to the dogs. And the most wily mutt is going to win, just as they have always done: www.the-underdogs.org/about.phpBladeStarr, your local Cuisinart of Doom, singing off. ;D Dink looks really good, but I can't get the download link to work. Any help?

The fact is that gamers are like die-hard wrestling fanatics. No matter how much things change or start to suck, they stick with it. WWE's angles are stale versions of interesting ones they had years ago and show no signs of picking up anytime soon.
Gamers like change and evolution, and no matter how focused the industry is on graphics right now, there's still developers out there totally focused on gameplay (Look at Ikaruga or any game by Sillicon Knights). Also, let's not kid ourselves, when PS3, XCrate and GameSphere or whatever the new systems are called come out, we'll buy them. If not us, then the next generation of gamer kids will.
Great Video Game crash? I doubt it.

Ikaruga was awesome. As is just about anything SK does.
I was telling Justin earlier that I went and downloaded all 50 minutes of Nintendo's E3 press conference... it was mind blowing. Not just as a fanboy, it was just amazing. They actually look like they may just have their head out of their butts and realize there's actually competition out there!

Canadians are so cool.... ;D SK is independant now, not pledged to Nintendo, so I hope for some wicked PS2 releases soon.

GamePyramid would be better still. For too long has the American consumer gone without a state-of-the-art gaming system that's also hazardous to fall on. And the next iteration of the XBox should be the XDrum; a system the size and shape of a 55 gallon oil container. That way, Microsoft can retain the honor of having the bulkiest system alive.

And the controllers will be 2 feet large and shaped like an avacado.

I always like Penny Arcade's take on the XBox's size. There's lots of gags related to its size, but this one's my favourite.
