There was a time, many years ago in the olden days, when I would fixate upon a particular game, and play it until it was thoroughly beaten up one side and down the other.
Then, long about the turn of the century, there came a workable gaming PC to go with my console. This, combined with my no longer being almost RPG-exclusive (the genre most conducive to eye-ruining obsession), caused me to start capriciously flitting about from game to game in my collection, like the proverbial village strumpet. It was a dark time, full of war and famine and me never actually finishing anything.
Since then, I've sort of settled into the middle ground. I generally have one game that I grind away on, with a couple of sub games standing by for breather play. For instance, my main and two subs right now are, respectively, Mercenaries, The Bard's Tale, and Rumble Roses (shut up).
What about you guys and gals? Which archetype fits you the best? Obsessor, gameslut, or something in between?

Not a game slut--maybe a game polygamist. I have several games that I play pretty much in rotation, but none of them are very new and I get new ones very rarely.

I definitely tend to fixate on a single game at a time... monogamist? I also tend to favour one system at a time... I'll go through a GameCube fix, then swing back to the PC, then back. Of course, now that I've finally got both into a private playroom office, well, that's just a bonus.

gameslut, unquestionably. Between my Xbox and Gamecube, I have about sixteen or twenty game that are purchased and remain unbeaten. I own two, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Metroid Prime, which have never even been played.
Like Huckle, I usually have two or three games going at once, one main and two breathers. Currently, they are Jade Empire (second time through), WWE Day of Reckoning 2, and Sid Meier's Pirates! Given that I am trying to decrease that completed::uncompleted ratio, the fact that I'm going through Jade Empire twice is just further proof that everyone needs to play this game.
But wait! There's more! Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects, X-Men Legends 2, and Ninja Gaiden Black all come out today? And I got paid on Friday? That's trouble if I ever smelled it.

Game polyandrist. I'll spend most of my time on one, and sub out on another one when I need a break. Right now it's Disciples II and Halo, which I just got for my birthday. (I can't figure out why no one else likes Disciples II, but it's scary how much time I spend on it.)

Well I just started Ultimate Spiderman without finishing Darkwatch...does that mean I'm cheating?
I will finish a pc game though, don't really known why there's a difference but I finished Every ID FPS that's ever come out, and American Mcgee's Alice. Console games on the other hand, I just tend to lose interest after a while.
