Hands down it would have to be when my friend and I discovered Gauntlet, Dark Legacy. The first night we played together we spent hours screaming in laughter as we pushed each other into exploding trunks/barrels and made endless fun of the Falconess/Sorceress voice overs when eating food or being hit. They always sounded like they were enjoying that food WAY too much. Also the Unicorn's movements when firing that souped up arrow was deliciously ripe for making bedroom grunts and inappropriate innuendo. Non-gutter behavior included mocking the Jester''s sarcastic "I'm so happy for you!". I'm convinced I injured myself with laughter when we played the Your Worst Nightmare level. (But then, maybe the pain was caused when we saw the Rifftrax episode for Roadhouse together. Mike's reaction to the bad guy telling the Swayzter that he "f---d guys like [him] in prison"? Golden.) We yearned for the weekends when we would mix up TGIF Mudslides full of chocolate syrup and have huge marathons of playing. We beat the whole game with every single character possible (including the creature counterparts). I'm sure my fond memories have a lot to do with whom I was playing, but I've never had that much fun with a game before or since. Makes me sad that I might not again. You are awesome

I have so many great gaming memories, I'm going to have to write multiple posts.
My best ones growing up were the many joyous visits from "The Nintendo Fairy".
After begging for some time, my parents finally got me a NES for my seventh birthday. I got two games, "Super Mario Bros." (of course), and "Top Gun" (my dad's a pilot).
For a year or two afterwards, at completely random times, I would leave a room, come back in a few minutes, and discover a shiny new Nintendo game waiting for me. My parents would explain to me that "The Nintendo Fairy" had paid me a visit.
This must have happened a dozen times in that two year span. I remember one time I was sent to take a bath before bed and later discovered "Rad Racer" on my pillow.
I found out years later that my dad had bought the Nintendo from an ad in the paper and that the original owner had sold him all the games he had for it. So, rather than giving them to me all at once, my parents decided to spread the love.
I've always thought that was really, really cool of them. I hope I can do something like that for my kids someday.

Old timers wow.... My parents love to tell me the story about how I crawled out of my crib at 2 in the morning to play Super Mario Bros when I was like 1 year old, but I can't really say I remember that one lol. I REMEMBER playing Super Mario World for hours and hours. It's still my favorite game of all-time. But some sweet moments: The interregation room in Resident Evil 2, when that zombie breaks through the glass. I screamed like a little girl. Playing on the same team on Madden 03 in franchise mode with my best friend. Then later, playing against each other and scoring for the winning touchdown on the last play of the game, then jumping up and screaming "IN YOUR FACE!!! IN YOUR FACE!!! YEAHAHHHHH" Followed by non-homoerotic but totally satisfying pelvic thrusts to his face. Beating Grandia 2 on dreamcast. Seriously the story in that game rivals any epic story in film or books. I've never seen anything like it in a videogame again, although Metal Gear Solid 3 came close. Okami will always hold a special place in my heart too.

Okami will always hold a special place in my heart too. That ending with Issun helping out? I cried the first time I saw it. Yeah, it makes me feel like an idiot but I can't help it. That's the only game that's ever done that to me.
