Ha... knew THAT was coming.
I believe Resident Evil 4 was exclusive to the Cube, and was a helluva good game. Never played it, but I have reliable sources.

(pargon) Actually only Resident Evil: The Remake and Resident Evil: Zero were true exlusives. Resident Evil 4 eventually made it's way over to PS2 with a few extra features. Regardless of what system you choose to play it on it was a hella of a game. Even if you were not a fan of the previous RE games you still got hooked on this one.

Oh ho ho! Resident Evil 4 was repackaged with additional sexiness and released for the PS2. And, according to Game Rankings, is said system's best game, with a composite score of 95.6%. Having played it through a couple of times and unlocked most of the bonus stuff, I can't object with any real enthusiasm.

For as expensive as the PS3 is, it's still one of the cheapest Blu-Ray DVD players out there.

Interesting point, actually. But I wonder if Sony's not devaluing their own product then by including BluRay in a machine cheaper than most BluRay players. What does that say about the BluRay format and other players?

Or devaluing their product by trying to convince people to buy movies in YET ANOTHER format. I like my DVD collection just fine, thank you.

I imagine it's their move to have BluRay win the upcoming format war with HD-DVD. Get a BluRay player into a ton of households (of mostly early adopters) and you're set. Sony is a major backer of Blu-Ray.
Isn't most of the money made on the games rather than the consoles (the old razor blade argument)? I remember when X-Box first came out some people figured out how to hack them to use them as cheap desktops. Microsoft was selling them at little/no profit and some big anti-M$ people thought that was a good way to stick it to "the man."

The ONLY video game company to make money on hardware in this new generation is Nintendo. The established GBA and DS are doing fine, and the Wii is actually turning a profit because they didn't just load it with expensive hardware. The PS3 and the 360 are both dependent on the software licensing to make any money.
