It's with relief and pleasure that we here at Mutant Reviewers From Hell welcome to the fold two new staff writers, Drew and Sue.
Maybe it's a bit of hubris for a non-paying internet movie review site to go through all the trouble of staging one month of applications and then another half-month of sorting through those to find the right picks for the site, but we kinda like MRFH. And we want it to grow, in quality and entertainment.
We received around 40 applications, many from forum regulars, and many excellent. Narrowing them down to just one was impossible, and just two was almost painful. Nonetheless, PoolMan and I made our final decisions last week as to which two applicants would join our writing team, and we're both excited at what Sue and Drew will bring to the site. Sue's probably more of a professional writer than most of us could ever hope of being, and Drew... well, Drew's high school picture (on the bios page) reminds us of "cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker, Nazi poster boy, blond hair, blue eyes." Mutant Reviewers is one of my favorite things in my life, one of my true passions. I think that passion is shared by our whole team -- it's a fun, weird, sometimes outlandish site to be a part of -- and our two new writers are eager to share in that experience.
I hope you will join us in welcoming these two, and continue to support and share in the spirit of all things Mutant.
