Earworm (Eer'-Wurm) n. , adj. - A song which gets into your head and likes to 'wiggle' around in there for a few hours or so. Ex. "Macarena is the world's most evil earworm."
So, what would you say is the world's worst earworms? Or just your recent ones? For me it is Britney Spears' "Toxic" and Annie Lennox' "No More 'I Love You's" (doobie doobie doot-doot-doot.. ahhhahh!!!) Argh! Stop it, it is driving me insane!!!! ;D

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they're like, "It's better than yours". Damn right it's better than yours. I could teach you, but I'd have to charge.

Earworms have been a huge problem for me my whole life, especially when I was little and only knew really annoying kids songs. I'm going to get my kids into music early so they won't be affected by earworms like I was. I used to go crazy and tell my mom that I had a "radio in my head," and she thought I had a headache, but it was really an annoying kids song. Or some commerical. But people who make jingles must be punished. Oh yes, they must.

Gah... PvP had a comic once where they had to keep "trumping" songs they had stuck in their head to try and get rid of them. Kind of like getting a tiger to get rid of the dog to get rid of the cat to get rid of the mouse. Ended up with someone screaming "Quick, what beats Yellow Submarine?". Curse their lack of a search function.

For days I was humming the Oscar Mayer wiener song to myself. Then I switched to the "My bolonga has a first name" song, and then to Armour hot dogs.
Maybe I'm just hungry?

My worst earworm EVER was "I'm a Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears. (Pretty sad that I know how that's supposed to be spelled and all.)

My worst one was from a commercial for a board game when I was little. I refuse to say the name of it because then it will get stuck in my head and i'd need to be institutionalized.
Don't bother guessing, because I may go crazy.

I've infected people at work with an Earworm. This Earworm is a bad one too. It's Woo Hoo, by the 5.6.7.8's! Oh, the humanity! My sadist-like sense of humor will be the death of me.
a little note:
Woo Hoo was originally recorded by Rock-A-Teens at some point druing the 60's (i think). Just thought I'd fill you in.

Oh man, "Tears Are Falling" by Kiss is my current earworm attack. When I first heard it, I hated it right away. The "Falliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing" part freaked me out more than anything. But it has gotten trapped so far in my brain that I'm listening to it right now after multiple listens and I'm still not sure if I even like it!

Hey, I've got another earworm... Fantasia Barrino's version of "Summertime." Yes, she's from North Carolina and I'm proud she's representing us well, and she's very talented... but I hear it every freaking morning during Winterguard class and it just stays...

Man, I can't get Space Oddity out of my head, and also I don't remember any of it except for a few words. The only thing worse than having a song in your head is having a song in your head and barely knowing the lyrics. "This is Ground Control to Major Tom, something something, really made the grade."
