Any songs or bands that you have a hard time admitting that you like them? Post some of your own music guilty pleasures. I promise I won't make fun of you:)
*Jackson 5- Okay, this was back when Michael Jackson was a cutie pooties and his little "wooh" wasn't annoying. His afro, and little shiny costumes were adorable and Jermaine was pretty cute back then too. Nice harmonies...true showmanship.
*Hanson-*gulp* I get so much slack for liking this band and I dont see why. Well, I guess if everyone judges them by MmmBop, then of course there wouldn't be a reason to like them. But just listen to their second album This Time Around and their new album Underneath and tell me that there's not one good song on there..I dare ya! "Penny and Me", "Love Song", and Song to Sing should turn any non-Hason fan over to these boys.
*Partridge Family- David Cassidy was gorgeous, no question there. But that's not the only reason I dig the Partridge Family..that music was so darn catchy and sparkly pop that you just can't get it out of your head. Songs like "C'mon Get Happy," "I Think I Love You," and Cassidy's version of "Cherish" get me everytime.

I'm a big Def Leppard fan, which evidently qualifies me for honorary Trailer Trash status. It's nice to be able to avoid the hassle of living in an actual trailer.
Also, I was watching VH1's Top 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs the other day, and I'd say a good two-thirds of the songs featured were songs I actually like. And not in a Gen-X-ish "They're good because they're so bad." sort of way, I mean I genuinely like them.

I must have seen that VH1 Bad Song special like a bajillion times by now. It's mesmerizing. Whenever it's on, I can't not watch it. And I was *very* angry about the inclusion of 4 Non Blondes. I will defend that song to the death.
"Cotton Eye Joe" should have been much higher on the list, though. That song is effing rank. That's just plain wrong.

I, too, will defend 4 Non Blondes. If not to the death, then at least to the mild pain. I will also cheer the selection of Starship's "We Built This City" as the number one most awesomely bad song.
My guilty pleasures are rather run-of-the-mill: ABBA, Carpenters (especially the Christmas albums), B-52s, and most disco.

Oh ! love the B-52s! Rock Lobster always cracks me up. I'm just a big fan of 80's new wave music in general. Not really any albums (although I did find an A-ha album at GoodWill for 50 cents..not too bad). I'm mostly an 80's compliation girl who only buys 80's punk like The Clash, Ramones, Elvis Costello, and fabulous U2 albums such as Joshua Tree and Actung Baby.

My biggest guilty pleasures: Elton John and Billy Joel. For chrissakes, a person with such evolved musical tastes as I - a lover of Nirvana, Blind Melon, the Clash, Johnny Cash, Elvis Costello, Pink Floyd, and others - shouldn't love friggin' piano players so much.
But I do. Dear God, I do. Elton John's entire catalog from the late sixties to about 1975 makes me jump up and down and dance, and I know all the words to ever single song on "Glass Houses."
*tips hat* Here's to you, Reg and Bill.
