I heard a real gem on the radio this morning. I'm sure it'll be everywhere in no time anyways, but William Shatner has released a new album called Has Been. It's his usual quality of "singing", but a couple of DJ's played one of the songs (the music is by Ben Folds, with Shatner doing the vocals) that sounds almost like a gospel song, but basically revolves around Shatner informing the entire world that they are going to die.
Seriously. The chorus goes something like:
You might not suffer, and it might be quick, But you'll have time to think, Why did I waste it? Why didn't I taste it?
All in that inimitable Shatner speech/song that he's so terrible at. Dear lordy, it's funny. Just thought I'd share.

I've seen commercials for this album. I'll probably download one or two songs, but i doubt i'll look into it any further. It's got a great name, though.
"Ex...cell-ent!"

I actually think it's kind of good. In a non ironic way. Check out the tracks "Common People" and "That's me trying".

William Shatner is truely awesome. I should pick up a copy of this album. On a related note, I've got a copy of Spaced Out!: William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins is a song I keep close to my heart.
