Just finished reading it. I'm sure most people that are out of high school now have read it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
What did everyone else think when they read it?

I decided early in my reading that Gatsby, in fact, was a homosexual.
But that was back in high school, and it may have just been the horome-driven immaturity.
It was okay for a high school read. Now, Kurt Vonnegut was where it's at back in High School. That and the play No Exit.

I bought this a few days ago and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who can read. Also Of Mice And Men.

THHHBBBPPPT.
That's my take on Gatsby. Sorry. English teachers love it because it's a novel long on symbolism, and that gives English teachers goosebumps like crazy. But it's a boring tale with a hit-you-over-the-head theme, and I was forced to read it far too many times for my liking.
