"Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden... best album of the 1980s. That's a bold claim. The rest of Maiden's input in the 80's is pretty awesome. IMHO both Powerslave and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son are greater than Number. Also all of Metallica's great albums came out in the 80's Other great 80's albums (limited to one per artist): Pornography - The Cure Closer - Joy Division Juju- Siouxsie & The Banshees Mask- Bauhaus I'm Your Man - Leonard Cohen Tender Prey - Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds Doolittle - The Pixies Daydream Nation - Sonic Youth Beneath The Remains - Sepultura Guilty pleasure: Non Stop Erotic Cabaret - Soft Cell I'm sure there are others I haven't thought of... Anyhoo my song of the day is Desert Kisses by Siouxsie & The Banshees.

Feel Your Breeze by V6. It's just. So. Catchy. I can't stop listening to it. You know, if we're going to get into catchy Japanese songs, I HAVE to mention Hiromi go's "Aiori Hayaku" (sp?). I swear...this song got me from the moment I heard it on the radio. I spent an entire 2 hours memorizing the lyrics and would sing it at every karaoke bar I went to while I was in Japan. You HAVE to listen to it somehow. I own the single if anyone's really that serious about it. I will totally send you a copy. THAT'S how much I love this goofy pop song sung by the Japanese equivalent of Cher.

"Drive My Car" by the Beatles. In fact it has been relentlessly in my head, especially at work, since I created my MST3K music game. Out of ALL the songs on that list I have no idea why this one chose to destroy my soul. You know when you get a song in your head? Not the WHOLE song, mind you. Only a couple of lines of lyrics so that you lose your will to live after the 3000th replay....

I'm really into The Velvet Underground right now, and "Candy Says" has been in my head all day.

Do I smell someone getting old? ...you can smell it? Yes. It reeks of moth balls and Nyquil. Wait.....I'm older than you....
