Heather, I think you might would like the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (ie the TV shows not the movies) soundtracks. They're also done by Yoko Kanno, and in a similar style. Personal fave: Velveteen, though the first opening Rise is darn close.
I worship that woman's talent, as my music collection can attest.
