I can't stand Tool. Their music is like the sound of people getting sick on the sea. It's depressing (I mean, really, really depressing), it's ugly, their vocalist is ultra-whiny, their guitars are out of tune. God, I get sick just thinking about them or why anyone would listen to them. Unless they've changed their style from the '90s, they are the worst band I've ever heard play. They are bad in every way I can think of. I can't think of any other band that was as bad lyrically, vocally, and musically as this one.

Static-X. I've owned one of their albums for several years, and I have yet to sit and listen to the entire album in one sitting, cause halfway through, my head feels like it's gonna burst. It's not so much that they're loud (in the words of Kiss, I love it loud), but the band sounds shrill. It's as if some kids got together and tried their best to deafen as many people as possible. Ugh.
Oh, and Nickelback, for obvious reasons. Hate that Nickelback.

The worst band I ever heard? Dillinger Escape Plan. They were supporting System of a Down at a gig I went to and they absolutely were the worst thing I have ever! I went with a couple of friends and one of them (a Jamiroquai/acid jazz kinda guy) had a look of sheer terror when they started playing

Worst band that most people have heard of: Nickelback. I mean, don't their fans notice that all their songs sound the same?
Worst band ever: A couple years ago I was in Paris. A band I liked, Firewater, was playing a show at a club while I was there. I'd seen them before, but they put on a good show and I thought it would be fun to see an American band in Paris. The opener was an act called Steak for Delta. They were awful. It was just noise with random shouts of "Steak for Delta!" The worst part was that it seemed they had a bit of a following.

The worst band I ever heard? Dillinger Escape Plan. Oh man...I couldn't bring myself to finish listening to their cover of "Rebel Yell". They somehow managed to butcher Billy Idol!

The worst band I've ever heard is local. And what amazes me is all of the perfectly sane people who say that these guys are going to be the next big thing to come out of the Dubs.
[ftp=http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=2308793]Doly Toro.[/ftp] They're horrible. I saw them open for someone else at a venue down here, and it was a mortifying combination of bad music and a sound guy who didn't know what he was doing in a room with poor acoustics.
My ears.
........
And how's this for terrible Nickelback stories: When my classmates at the institution I have the pleasure to call my high school alma mater were called upon to choose a class song, they nominated "Photograph." And then we voted. And it WON.
Thankfully, our principal had the good sense to veto a song about a guy who dropped out of school and got arrested and made nothing from his life. Not to mention that, musically, it's one of the worst abominations known to man.

Fall Out Boy. What's so appealing about a transvestite guitarist and chubby lead singer with an underbite? His singing sounds like when my Grandfather pinches a log. Disgusting.

I sincerely don't like Destiny's Child. My sister plays their music constantly, and I usually end up freaking out and turning up Queen really, really loud to block out the noise. Maybe I'm just biased against hiphop and R&B, but I personally think that music should have at least a bit of substance to be considered good, not just an easy-to-dance-to beat.

I have to disagree with you. Some of Destiny's Child's tracks are really good. Independent Women, Bills Bills Bills Bills and Lose My Breath are all good tunes (the latter is a great example of the better of R n B: see also anything by Missy Elliott). Now, R n B/Hip Hop are not exactly my field, however, I can appreciate a good song. Personally, I would much rather listen to Queen too, however, technically speaking, Destiny's Child are very good at what they do and I think it unfair to call them the worst band in the world But, each to their own!

I sincerely don't like Destiny's Child. My sister plays their music constantly I know exactly what that's like. My parents would always blast classic rock (making me forever hate it!) and my brother liked that really bad nu-metal "alternative" garbage. You know those bands, the white guys with braids and drunken idiots onstage in sporty caps and sneakers but baggy Jnco and Dkny pants, dumb idiots with masks and stupid "horror movie" make-up on. Who play hollow, harmony-less and melody-less loud crappy rock and whine about how their ex girlfriends all cheated on them and how they feel trapped in their "four walls." UG!!! Nothing makes me madder on this Earth than that music scene. But I like Destiny's Child as well. And I love Missy Elliot! And I like rap, hip-hop, and r&b very much. Music isn't just about a deeper meaning. It's about having fun and dancing, singing about stupid things like love and having a good time. Even if it gets boring, sometimes thinking is overrated. And one of the absolute great things about music is that it's not about anything. We need more things like that. A deeper meaning is nice and all... But wait, you'll grow up and see that that stuff just doesn't mean as much when you get older. I know. I used to make fun of Britney Spears all the time. Now I listen to several of her songs and sing them with absolutely no shame at all. Nothing to be ashamed about. It's just music.
