So the new book title is out. Personally, I don't really see much to discuss, but I can't really let it go by without noting it, can I?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
As someone else said, let's see them try to make a PG-13 movie out of that.

The consensus of the geeks I hang out with is that the book will involve many zombies

Aw, Shalen, can't you be happy for us Potter fans? No? Then why not be very happy that this will be the last book, and therefore the last time you have to deal with Harry?

Wait... Zombies? I like zombies. Technically speaking they're called "inferi" in the Harry Potter universe, but they serve pretty much the same purpose, doing a dark wizard's bidding. Yes there should be inferi, and dementors, and werewolves, and giants, and maybe dragons, and maybe even house elves (led by Dobby ), plus DeathEaters, in a huge LOTR like battle. Or at least I hope there will be a huge LOTR like battle. Now about the title, the deathly hallows might refer to Dumbledore, Sirius, the school founders, the Hogwarts ghosts, his parents, whatever is beyond the Veil, and who knows what else. She did say we will find out a lot more about ghosts in this book

I'm working on reading the sixth book again, so that I'll be caught up by the time the seventh is out. I forgot how much I dislike the sixth book, but if it will get me to the seventh, then I will put up with it... also, I googled 'deathly hollows' out of curiosity, and I was surprised by how intensely people obsess over this, although I don't have much room to speak, considering i will be using my barnes & noble member card to pre-order this book

Apparantly keeping a daily countdown to release is reason to be branded a dork. By the way, 163 days, in case you were wondering.
In order to prep, I'm rereading the first 6 books. I started last Friday and so far am done "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets," but I seemed to have misplaced "Prisoner of Azkaban," and the rest are back at my parents' place. Hmm.
Also my friends and I are creating our costumes for the B&N release party where we get the books at midnight. We do this for every new book since "Goblet of Fire," and for the midnight movie releases as well. This year Im going as (the very dead) Dumbledore.

Universal Studios is in talks to build the first ever Harry Potter Theme Park. Do I hear Lissa buying plane tickets?
