iTunes is beginning to try my patience.
There are a number of songs on my "must have" list that also appear on iTunes' "don't have" list, and many of them strike me as bigger no-brainers ("Learn to Be Still" by The Eagles? No? Come on!), but none rankle in their absence quite as badly as "Fletch" by Harold Faltermeyer (not sure if that's its proper title, but everyone knows what I'm talking about).
"Axel F," the theme from Beverly Hills Cop--performed by the same guy, and a fine song in its own right--is not only available on iTunes, but can also be found on every other 80s compilation CD. But it's that very commonality, and my resultant already-having it, that makes me want "Fletch" that much more. I've always regarded these two songs as being like the disparate parts of some sort of Double Dragon-esque power medallion, with each being worth less than half of the whole when separate.
To sum up: Kaleb sad, iTunes needs to get its crap together.

well, i think it's more getting rights from everybody else and stuff.
i had to download the main buckingham songs from 'national lampoon's vacation' off some dude's website. doh!
i don't like how some bands and artists obviously have yet to cut deal with itunes, leaving us all sad. but i guess that leaves you with at least one (small) reason to keep up the cd hunt: for those rare songs that you have to rip yourself from a cd to your music library.
the hunt is on!
