I'm just basking in reflected Internet glory - its a happyhappyjoyjoy occasion.
I can't believe the cheek of those so-called 'academics' calling our reviews questionable. A review is just an opinion, and film (like all art) is subjective. That Professor needs to learn himself that there are no 'right or wrong' answers in cinema.
Except maybe The Doom Generation. Thats a definate wrong answer.

Oh, I'm gonna track them down today, whoever wrote that, and lay down the law. Mark my words, no work project of mine is too important that it can't be put aside for a trivial quest!

I'm not that upset by this. When a person opens up their article by basically saying "only trained critics and film scholars could POSSIBLY review movies", they're basically missing the whole point of what the MRFH is all about. It's letting folks with a common, literate voice speak like a normal person about a subject they have a passion for.
By the people, for the people, people.
But I look forward to the results of Don Quixjustin's quest!

I called the librarian who did that particular page and left a message. But I can't seem to locate that particular professor.

Go get 'em Justin! If he wants to see my credentials, I've got a degree in English I'd be happy to cram up his... nose.
Questionable sources? What does he think? We're actually Mutants and actually from Hell? Like we are sitting around flinging dung at the screen and hiding behind our seats when the flashing pictures in front of us at the theater (that means "theatre" for our French-Canadian readers) scare our ape-like sensibilities.
Clare acting far more offended than I actually am. as usual.

Oh, and by the way, the college's website is a .net, not a .edu.
Now THAT'S what I call questionable.

Maybe he's a CAPS reviewer and doesn't like the word "Hell" in the title? Or the fact that you do enjoy such satanic movies such as the Ghostbusters? Questionable morality maybe? (haha.)
BTW- thanks for that Lego site. I just killed WAY too much time there. And some now have very, very disturbing images of little Lego people having sex.

I called the librarian who did that particular page and left a message. But I can't seem to locate that particular professor. After wandering around their webspace for a while, I found the section of staff email contact addresses - typically, his wasn't listed. So I've now sent an email to the English department asking them if they can give me an email address to contact him. Update to follow if/when I get a response. - Rich For Great Justice!
