Justin,
While I honour and respect you, and I love both this film and the book on which it is based with something close to adoration, I have to take exception to one thing in your article.
You sir, need to learn yourself some Das Boot
That is the single best submarine movie ever made, hands down.
Otherwise, more quality from Head Mutant.

I know this Das Boot. I have seen this Das Boot. Das Boot is good, ya, but not better than Hunt. But I knew someone would be bringing that up, yet I still threw caution to the wind and charged straight ahead with such a blanket statement.

Only one way to settle such a dispute: A massive game of MRFH Marco Polo. Whomever catches the most fellow mutants will be declared king of the water, and thus will be able to correctly assert that their submarine movie choice is the ULLLLLTIMATE submarine movie.

Agreed, but only AFTER you've had the tension-filled discussion about how deep Justin can dive before he's crushed by the massive oceanic pressure (answer: about 7 1/2 feet).

I've been meaning to ask you, Pooly... was is UP with that hot dog picture? Is there a story behind it? If so, call me!

No big story, I'm afraid, just walking around the streets of Vancouver a couple weeks ago with my bride to be and our maid of honour, and we came across this little hot dog cutout. Couldn't resist. And RIGHT away the M.O.H. starts saying "oh, that HAS to be your new picture on the website!". Who am I to argue?
Call me, big boy! I dare ya!

Oh, you'll do a hot dog for your girlfriend, but no cow teat for me? Well... maybe you do have your priorities right, but that's still no excuse!

I'll dive right in and proclaim "Down Periscope" to be the best submarine movie ever.

hehe I love that movie. Being in the Navy myself. I'm with jenfrazer. Down Periscope is the best!
