Victoria's Secret makes great jeans.
Of course, I doubt that's much help....

hey, what are your thoughts on skintight jeans? www.smartpunk.com/product.php?item_id=17642i've been looking at these for a really, reallly long time. i think since after christmas, when i first saw an ad for them and realized 1) they're super-cool; and 2) i was born in 1979, so i'm very "punk" and "contemporary." i'm going to the surf fest in huntington beach this weekend. the hurley store there is where i always try them on, love them, but wonder how often i'd actually wear them and if i want to pay the $85. help me, fashion-conscious mutant friends!

As myself being punk(ish) I would have to say it depends on your style.I myself don't wear them but my friend does and he says they can get pretty hot in the summer and stuff. But it all depends on your personal style. If you look good in them in almost anything I would get them.If you don't I wouldn't.

I haven't really worn jeans since college (now cargo pants/shorts are my thing). But that might all change once I hit my mid-life crisis, which is due to begin in 2016 *sob*

Hmm. I don't understand paying over 20 dollars for pants. it's clothing. I get my jeans from old navy and salvation army.

130 bucks? Dude. You've been watching too much Laguna Beach. Step back from the abyss, my friend. Here's an idea- buy a Gamecube, a pair of Target jeans, and enough free drinks/gifts/dinners/whatever so that the girl really doesn't care what brand of jeans you're wearing. Problem solved. -D Aw, that was cute! P.S. This is the first time I've ever tried quoting anything so it has that little box around my post. Let's see if it works!

Reef jeans. On a side note, Reef makes a flip-flop that has a beer bottle opener in the midstep. The ultimate in chilling technology

Here's the thing...from SoCal...Kyle...it is perfectibly acceptable to pay $130 for a pair of jeans...'nuff said (and how much are you lovin' Victoria Gardens? Decent shopping close to home!)....
And No on the Skin Tight Jeans okay?...not sure exactly what sort of people you are running around with, but from a female perspective...just say No...Wait til after you find the girlfriend and if she says it's acceptable then okay...but for now... put the jeans down and just walk away.

i LOVE victoria gardens. i never had a problem driving around to wherever; i usually end up at the beach where insane socal shopping is just around the corner on the weekends.
but having the option to just go chill nearby is really, really nice. as long as there's a bookstore (borders vs. barnes: who you got?) there that's open really, really late, i'm happy.
i ended up buying not those exact jeans i linked to, but a newer hurley pair that's pretty close to them.
it's an "emo" thing. also: i have core groups of friends in very different places and of very different mindsets (see: my myspace profile) and for the riverside kids, they're perfect. plus, my unofficial girlfriend (long story) loves them and she spent six years working in the fashion industry in los angeles, so that's REAL ultimate power!!!!!!

I was lurking and came apon this thread. I love jeans and 130 bucks for a pair of jeans is nothing.
My fav pair is Paper Demin & Cloth
one thing about these jeans you will need to try a pair on before you buy them.

unless you live in southern california (or possibly nyc), it's hard to enough how necessary it is to have great jeans that make you look "great."
it's a complicated relationship, between a person and their jeans. self-esteem, self-confidence, the ability to pick up compliments and dates and free stuff, and personal comfort are all tied up, along with more essential elements of life that i simply can't think of at 4 in the morning, in your choice of jeans.
plus, out here, you pretty much wear your jeans year-round. even in triple-digit heat. so if you choose poorly, you're going to be ostrascized, ridiculed, and soon driven insane by catching people shaking their heads at you at the edge of your peripheral vision.
choose correctly, though, and you'll be included (without a trace of irony!) when people make michael caine/aslan speeches about the "princes and princesses of southern california."
which people do all the time, often based solely on personal appearance. it's a weird region. i never want to leave it!
