Here's my two cents on the jeans thing...
I can't speak for the guys' jeans, but I know that American Eagle probably makes the best jeans that I've seen in a while. And the price is reasonable, considering your price ceiling. I think my best pair from there was $39.50.
Just a thought.

it's about time for MORE JEANS. cooler weather means it's time to get serious, plus a couple of my first express pairs are pratically falling to tatters, and not in a "cool" wearable way.
call me nuts, but i think quiksilver jeans are fairly fantastic. my hurley skintight emo jeans are a big hit (see: my myspace page comments) but quiksilver really is where it's at.
any new jeans developments with you? i need to know, brother/sister!

Hey, I'll take the bait. Once again, American Eagle jeans, baby. My most recent pair is a slouchy cut. (Funny... guys are going for tighter it seems, and girls are going for looser. Gender-bending at its finest and un-weirdest.)
It's definitely feeling like fall every few days here... time to show the jeans some love.
*now feels shallow, doesn't really care*

now i definitely need some new jeans! all my older ones are super-frayed or just seem "lame."
did we come to any kind of consensus here? i'm too lazy to re-read stuff.
i do know that i've FINALLY reached the point, after nearly nine years in socal, where i think i can wear jeans year-round! even in triple-digit temperatures! hooray!

Well I'm not in the norm, but...since I apparently lost my favorite pair of Big Star jeans while I was in Canada (thieving Canucks!). I now own three pairs of jeans, two which are fast on their way to being inappropriate for public display.
I own no more pairs than this because the jeans I like are expensive (88 is expensive to me, but they're so worth it) and I'm way above where I want to weigh. I refuse to buy more pants until I'm not hulargenormous

Only four pairs for me, and Route 66 peasant-bags at that. They don't see a lot of use, considering it has to be snowing before I even begin to accept the possibility that it might be jeans weather.

Interesting...I thought I was the only nerd who insisted on her legs being nearly translucent from lack of sun exposure at all times of the year. I HATE shorts. Hate hate HATE!
