He certainly is.
Anyway, good review. I just have to note that you asked why Giselle isn't an official "Disney Princess" - the Disney people realized they'd have to pay for the rights to Amy Adams' likeness for as long as she lives. I guess that outweighs the oodles of cash they make off that line.

Shame - I almost bought some of the Giselle dolls I saw at the grocery store where I work around Christmas, and I'm almost 30.
I was dying to see this for a long time, but the holidays are a bad time for me to be getting into a movie theater. (Christmas tends to suck a lot of your cash flow in December.) I finally bought the DVD when it came out last month and had an absolute blast. Some hard-core musical fanatics were a little harsh on the musical numbers and wished the spoof could have been sharper, but for the rest of us, this is a delightfully sweet bit of twisted fluff that proves Disney is well aware of it's sugary image and doesn't mind having a little fun with it.

You know, Justin, I wish I DID see my world as me in a mostly-white dress hoisted aloft by clean and well-groomed construction workers in tastefully color-coordinated hats.
But I can't. Woe.
Nice review, though.

You know, Justin, I wish I DID see my world as me in a mostly-white dress "We dressmakers have a very strict code, so I need to know: do you deserve to wear virginal white? Because if you don't, you'll have to wear an off-white, what we call 'hussy white.'" -D

"We dressmakers have a very strict code, so I need to know: do you deserve to wear virginal white? Because if you don't, you'll have to wear an off-white, what we call 'hussy white'." Virginal white...except for the gloves. That was a nice review...but no mention of Susan Sarandon?
