I'll probably drop plentyoffish because the only contacts I get on there tend to type horribly and include ten links to YouTube clips in their very first message.  Y'know it seems almost snotty, but a total lack of typing and spelling skills is a personal red flag of mine in situations like that. I mean, they might be great guys, but when they can't even spell check their profiles, let alone their IM's... ick. And another thing I hate is the preliminary contact that goes something like: "hi you sound raelly nice. when can we meet?" How about never? Does never work for you? Don't look at me like that. I'm old, but I'm single too, b'gosh! |

I met my fiance on yahoo chat. I very literally scanned the cursor over a random room and clicked. we started trading jokes and insults to one another and we just started IM'ing eachother after that. after a month or 3 I gave her my phone number and barely a day passed that we didn't talk to one another. last year she flew to savannah from alberta, canada and when we kissed in the airport... that's all she wrote. 7 more months passed and now I'm in canada visiting her. we've been together for a little over a year now.
