Hey, I'm back from Thanksgiving break, which means I can give y'all a question now!!!
Robert Stack provided the voice for this character on Transformers: The Movie. Who is it?

Al as in short for Alan; all this brainpower is natural, baby! (As in, not artificial intelligence, get it? Ah-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha... ooh, my ribs hurt).
OK, MacGyver trivia! Towards the end of season two, audiences were introduced to the man who would become Mac's arch-nemesis. What was his name and under what unlikely circumstances did they first meet?

His name was Murdock (or Murdoc?). Uhm... wasn't that way back when MacGyver met Pete? When Pete had a really bad toupee? Man, the mists of time are thick with industrial waste this morning....

Yup on the name and you're thinking of the right episode. Do you remember how they met?

You know, this has been driving me nuts all day. Honestly all I can remember are the hairpiece, a taxi, and maybe a... bazooka/rocket launcher? Or am I cross referencing episodes? (I keep thinking about a truck too, but the taxi seems right.)

You hit all the right notes, so close enough for me MacGyver was driving Jack Dalton's taxi and he took on Murdoc, posing as a woman, as his fare. Pete, wearing the aforementioned hairpiece, was tracking him and MacGyver gets in the way. And, yes, during the episode, he stops two men with bazookas using a shoelace, a paperclip, and an old wrench. AND, the whole encounter is done in a flashback by MacGyver and Pete, who are trapped in a speeding truck by Murdoc, back for revenge seven years later. Good memory! Ball's in your court. Alan

Okay, my mind is blank, so I'll draw from something even OLDER than MacGyver. In The Sound Of Music, Captain Von Trappe's last song on stage is "Edelweiss". Why was this significant? In other words, why would it have put the Nazis' little button noses out of joint?

...Um...
Because it's a very Austrian song, what with the tradition of climbing up a cliff to procure one for your sweetie, and it shows national solidarity instead of respect for the occupation? I figure this would be sort of like somebody in occupied France getting up and singing "La Marsellaise" (sp? It's early morning here).

I figure this would be sort of like somebody in occupied France getting up and singing "La Marsellaise" (sp? It's early morning here). That's close enough for me! Edelweiss was (iirc) a symbol of Austria - their national flower. To sing about it after: a.) Austria was annexed into Germany b.) Von Trappe was ordered to report for duty in the German Navy was a delightfully subversive way of telling the Nazis in the audience to stick it where the sun don't shine. It's all yours, Shalen!

Thanks! I only know that because my good friend married an Austrian. (They're expecting in February.)
Next question: What do Louisiana residents call the periodical cicada?
