Does this mean we won't get KOTOR 3? I hope not.
MMORPGs don't really interest me but if they keep the strong story they brought to the previous games I'll try this one out.

I don't WANT to grind through 50 hours of leveling up to find out what happened to Revan, Mission, Bastilla, Exile, Handmaiden, Atton, Mira, Carth and everyone else. Not to mention, considering the personal choice storyline of the first one... it doesn't make sense to make an MMO with thousands of people making thousands of decisions at the same time.
I'm a little bit excited, I'll admit. I have never tried an MMO because I think they are a complete waste of time. Ok, that's a lie. I tried SW: Galaxies, but it activated my free trial without letting me test the video card to ensure it worked and I lost my free month and thus never, ever touched it again. I also played Runescape and instantly regret every second wasted in that game.
I prefer real exercise now. Not real social interaction, though. I'd prefer KOTOR III, preferably with an ass-kicking story about Mira and HK-47 joining forces in a Miami Vice-style bounty hunters for hire agency.

It'd be a great way to "re-do" the Star Wars franchise since botching it with Galaxies -- different time period that's proven popular with the previous RPG games, not as bound by lore and the timeline of the movies, frees you up to have multiple Jedi/Sith/whatever without breaking immersion... can't wait to see more details on it.

What's disappointing about that is going to be the lack of mods. KOTOR II absorbed a good fraction of my college life because of all the delicious mods other people make and I can abuse. I was always disappointed by the fact all lightsabers had the same hilt, because to me that IS the saber, not the color. Mods can fix that, I was rocking Obi-wan Padawan and Ob-wan Jedi sabers for my main character and Darth Maul blade for Visas. I'm sure there will be SOME customization for every little bit of everything, but mods are a no-go on online play, especially for MMORPGs.
I'd like to retrack my original excitement and replace it with a swift kick in the my face at this decision by Bioware.
