"Behind the Lines" by Genesis:
Jean Grey.
One of these songs has to be hers.
That's true, one of them does.
Not that one, though.

Alright, considering there's no way for me to beat Bacca Wacca at this point, nor is there a way for anyone to knock me out of second place, there really isn't a point in me guessing... ...but a game's a game, right? I'm going to guess that Little by Little by Robert Plant represents Leech. "Little by little, my heart green" is the most indicative line, but the general sense of sadness and loneliness works with his being an orphan. The, uh, actual line is "little by little, my heart grieves". Perhaps a more reliable lyrics website next time. And no, not Leech. He was never on any of the X-teams.

But...but you could tie with me if I'm wrong, then we could have a deathmatch. I've got a couple of shuriken and some swords and if that doesn't settle it then...what? I am NOT going too far. Well...I guess just taking guesses 'til one of us comes out victorious could work. It'll be awfully boring though. EDIT: Okay, well I got my question right so I guess you had a self-fulfilling prophesy there, Oogie. Seriously...*shakes hands*...you really gave me a run for my money. I never expected to be able to beat you. You really intimidated me, having an uncanny *AHAHA I slay me!!!* ability to just get every freaking one right. Good game, man. Good game. We'll have to do this again *sideways glance to Drew*

(EDIT: indeed you have acknowledged this...) Congratulations, Bacca Wacca! You played insanely well...<professorX>old friend.</professorX>

The, uh, actual line is "little by little, my heart grieves". Perhaps a more reliable lyrics website next time. Gaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa... I was wondering what "my heart green" was supposed to mean in the context of the song right before I posted it. And why is a site with inaccurate lyrics the first one that I find in a google search? *returns the home-made dunce cap where it belongs...atop his head*

I was having a lot of luck with lyricsmode.com. Not sure how accurate it was, really. I mostly liked it because I found all of these lyrics on that site. I usually can't find lesser-known stuff on a lyrics site. Wait...what was my point again?

Well, the Mutant Music Contest is officially over! We've laughed a little, cried a little, exposed Mike's chronic inability to read a clock... good times. I'm sure you're all wondering about the final results, unless of course you've checked the front page, in which case, here they are:
-In first place, with a whopping 7 points, is BlackCatWhiteCat! Demonstrating an extremely impressive ability to read the mind of a Canadian artist from 8 years ago, BCWC is our grand prize winner, who will receive a prize pack AND get to make me review a comic-related movie of her choosing. Let's hear it for her!
-In second place, not far behind with a score of 5, is our old friend TheOogieBoogieMan! Oogie turned in a consistently strong showing and will receive an X-Men prize pack, including a pre-viewed superhero movie.
-And in third place, we... have a tie? Indeed, Kaleb and astralprojections are currently tied at 3 points apiece! And yet, there can only be one more runner-up. How will we settle this, you ask? Listen closely...
Kaleb, astral, there are still several songs left on the playlist without answers. You each have the next 24 hours to either PM or email me this playlist with your guesses of characters for each song. At the end of that time I'll review each list, and whoever has the most right will officially win third place. If by some chance it's an exact tie, we go to Sudden Death. And no one wants that.
Clear? The clock starts now: 24 hours. Get your guesses to me!
Surrender Your Heart by Missing Persons Games Without Frontiers by Peter Gabriel Where Were You by Jeff Beck Lock and Key by Rush Hard Act To Follow by Split Enz Hearts by Yes Little by Little by Robert Plant Waiting For A Million Years by Missing Persons Not One of Us by Peter Gabriel Behind the Lines by Genesis On The Loose by Saga

I made a "sequel" to your contest right here, just for those that want to keep on going for fun. New contest, blank scores, no prizes. What? I'm poor!

(Other than Phil's thing, which I'm totally going to go check out right after this).I keep thinking I'm going to wake up one day and realize that I didn't manage to win at a geeky contest against my favorite loveable Ultra-Geeks (tm). So....by the way: Does manga count as "comics"? *evil grin* Oh and in case you thought I was gonna be all mature about this, here you go: youtube.com/watch?v=ZvEnIkz82A0&feature=related"Waka chika waka chika waka chika WA"

With less than 2 hours left, I've got Kaleb's guesses for the remaining songs, but not astral's. It's not too late, but the clock is ticking...
