New World Man=Forge? I had gotten all nice and comfy with answers I feel good about, so guessing this one makes me all panicky inside. I think this is a decent answer, seeing as you hinted that the character that matches this song has used guns in the past. So there's that. Plus, he invents new technology and can immediately use it. So he's kind of a "new world" man, no?
Yes ma'am! Forge, also known as "the Maker," possesses intuitive inventiveness and the ability to construct any machine he can imagine, as long as it's physically possible. (And occasionally if it's probably not.) It is Forge's curse that his creations often cause more harm than good, as when a neutralizer gun he invented to take away a mutant's powers was used on his lover Storm, rendering her powerless for years. Still, his gift of invention and constant seeing into the future makes him truly a new world man.

Hearts by Yes = Longshot
Y'know...cause Longshot has hearts...
You know, that's quite true: Longshot does have two hearts. And yet, neither of them belongs to this song. His song has a bit more to do with the situation he unfortunately and far too often finds himself in.

I really wish I could figure out which song belongs to Multiple Man, if for no other reason than that there's no way he isn't on this list.
Well, that's certainly true.
Sadly, nothing's jumping out at me. So, I'm going to go out on a limb (more of a twig, really) with the following gut-guess:
"Hard Act to Follow" by Split Enz:
Spiral.
Nix. Spiral, while an excellent character, has only ever been a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/Freedom Force, which is not counted as an X-Men affiliate team.

He was the one attached to that song on MY list of "most likely".

*lip wibble* I wanna guess now! *sigh* I have to wait till I get off work.. And if any of you goons guess my next guess..? *cracks neck menacingly* Lemme just say that in 3 years of marriage, and and 3 and a half years of dating my husband, he's never won against me in unarmed combat. Just chew on that for a little bit *menacing look* ^_^ How come all the cute chicks are taken? I'm... cute..? No no.. that's not right.. BaccaWacca is the cute Heather, not me.. *confuzzled*... How come all the cute chicks are taken? I can only assume you're looking for some answer other than "Because they're cute chicks"? But seriously, stay away from my wife. -D Umm... are... you calling me your wife..? *more confused than before* Nope. Just affirming my wife's status as a cute (but taken) chick. Carry on.*lip wibble* I wanna guess now! *sigh* I have to wait till I get off work.. And if any of you goons guess my next guess..? *cracks neck menacingly* Lemme just say that in 3 years of marriage, and and 3 and a half years of dating my husband, he's never won against me in unarmed combat. Just chew on that for a little bit *menacing look* ^_^ I wouldn't brag too much about that, seeing as Josh is a Buddhist, lol. Yes... well.. I dated him BEFORE the buddhism thing.. so it totally still counts >.> AND DAMN THE ONE WHO TOOK MY QUICKSILVER GUESS!! *grrs* You better all be glad I had a backup guess for tonight >.> "No Self Control" by Peter Gabriel. I'm totally thinking it's gotta be Time Bomb/Boom Boom/Boomer/Meltdown or whatever you wanna call her. I mean, she threatened to kill the blob.. she even basically burst his eardrunks with her little orbs o' pain, I'd call that pretty low on the self control scale! Whatcha think? Survey says... BZZZT. Sorry; that's a bummer your primary guess was taken. As for dear Tabitha, her song is a bit more boisterous and upbeat to reflect her personality, rather than the quite dark No Self Control.EDIT: wow.. did I seriously type earDRUNKS?? OMC.. i swear to GOD I've only had one cape cod this evening x.x;;; That's what they all say, rummy. By the by, OMC = oh my Cape Cod? Swearing to your booze... first sign of an alcoholic.

Ok, trying again. . . "Not One of Us" by Mr. Peter Gabriel --Captain Britain?
Nope... despite being an alcoholic, I don't know that Brian has ever struggled with feeling like he didn't belong in the group. I'll also add that his song is one of the harder ones to get. In general, with one or two notable exceptions, I think we're mostly beyond the "title-power" connections and on to the ones that deal more with personality and circumstances.
Oh, and methinks I should point out for the sake of posterity (posterity? Ha ha, I slay me), my Phoenix attempt was referring to Jean Grey, not one of the 5 billion other Phoenixes that have graced the X-pages over the years.
Duly noted. For the record, there is only one true Phoenix other than Jean, and she is the fiesty, slightly crazy Rachel Summers. Even if she wasn't exactly around when this playlist was compiled.

No Self Control by Peter Gabriel = Jean Grey?
Nope, although like Jean as the Phoenix, this person did fight some demons of her own and feel like no one understood what she was going through.

Okay.. wow.. I... am a retard x.x
I have this big compiled list.. alphabetically sorted, of course, of who I am very very very certain is on the list. I talked to Heather for a while and we conversed and shared notes, and we flushed out the rest of my list (just so you know.. i had 38 out of 42 >.> I rock like that..) and I started freaking out because there were only 18 songs left, and we had 18 people who needed to be guessed for, and yet my alpha list only had 41 people on it x.x.....
until i realized I had completely skipped over cyclops....
You think my hatred for the character might have clouded my vision? Maybe I want to subconsciously erase him from all existence >.>;;;;
What?! You watch yourself, missy. You can still be banned from this game.

The Walking (and Constantly) by Jane Siberry - Cable?
Nyet, comrade. For Cable, one might want to go back to what he was in his earliest, original form -- before all the baggage and plot revelations started cropping up. Not that that necessarily makes for a good character, but it does factor into his song.
