Sue already knows what I think of all this, but I'll chime in here, too. Cancer is fought with heart, mind, and soul, which Sue has in aces. If I know anybody with the chutzpah to get through this (and make some disturbingly insightful Star Wars analogies at the same time), it's Sue. This is why I'm concerned, but not worried. She's a fightah! It's not ovah! You gotta cut me, Mick!

Sue, you have a perfect ability to wrench first my heart with your trials, then my gut with your outrageously hilarious take on the situation. Dark humor was always my favorite. Bravo! As much as I've loved your reviews, I think my fondest examples of your writing are in the forum. Though I kid myself to say that I really know you at all, I mean it when I say you are a treasure to me. Your writing is something I look up to and, in light of what you've faced this year, your character has impressed me even further and made me wish that I would know you in person. I offer all my sincerest prayers to you, and enlist the prayers of everyone around me for you and your family.
