Back from a 2-week hiatus in my home state. Miss me? Hope I didn't miss anything important. Well anyway....Halloween! My second favorite holiday. My vote goes for Spooky (the cover) done by Atlanta Rhythm Section. The cover's my preference, but the original by Classics IV is good, too. The former might be better for a party atmosphere.

It just isn't Halloween without Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Just in case you don't recognize it by the title. . .

Ooohhhh I'm gonna cheat a little and throw in A Night On Bald Mountain by Modeste Moussorgsky. For something a little more upbeat and mischievous I like In The Hall Of The Mountain King by Edvard Greig.

If we're doing classical, then I throw in Camille Saint Saens' Danse Macabre. 'Cause Death having a party with a graveyard full of skeletons is totally Halloweeny. Plus it has a Tombstone connection, so that's cool. (edited for grammar. shame on me)

Carousel by Mr. Bungle
Kind of evil-circus-sounding. Probably not for someone who has a fear of clowns.

It's just not Halloween if I don't hear Nightmare On My Street by the Fresh Prince.

Uuu, nice one, I love the Zippers..."The D and the A and the M and the N and the..."
I'd like to add to the fray, "Remains of the Day" from the Corpse Bride OST.

Mr. Raven by MC Lars
A tongue-in-cheek hip-hop rendition of Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven. To wit: Once upon a midnight dreary, while I kicked it weak and weary...
