Loved it! My mother actually was in one of those audiences for The Tingler, she didn't get one of the special seats though. This is one of my favorite parts of movie history. The fake nurses in the lobby, skeleton contraptions zooming through the theater, air jets set to hit the audience and make them jump, etc.

I went to a theater that had this. Oh wait, that's right. It wasn't a gimmick....

I went to see the movie Earthquake when I was a wee child and they turned the speakers so they were front down on the floor and cranked the bass. So everytime the earthquake was coming you felt it before you even heard it. ((Haven't had a chance to read the article.. but do plan on it.. so if you've already mentioned this.. sorry))

I was going to mention that having been born too late to experience the Earthquake woofer phenomenon is one of my greatest regrets, but after reading the article, I'm not so sure anymore. Uncontrollably pooing myself is not my idea of a fun Saturday night.

BEAT YA... and just read the article.. cool! Our brother did get a bit sick (or possibly scared is all) Hey would have been 4 and I would have been 6 when we went to see Earthquake... what were mom and dad thinking. I enjoyed it though.. !!!
