Can't get NaNoWriMo's page to load, so I'll post it here.
WOW, I hate the scene I just wrote. Clunky, clunky, clunky!
But No Editing, right?

Yeah *shuffles feet*. No editing. I was almost glad that all my stuff from yesterday got erased because now I have a chance to come up with something different. And yet...SHOULD I come up with something different? I hate to stick to the same old thing I've always written about, but it's what comes easiest to me. I just feel like I've written the same old things since high school. I want to challenge myself, but should I pile writing about a completely new subject on top of the challenge of writing a novel in a month? Guh. Honestly I haven't spent any time on the actual NaNoWriMo site. After the mess it was in yesterday I just said "forget it". You guys can be my support group.

Nope, no editing. And if'n you're smart, no do-overs either. Remember, you have to write 1,667 words every single day if you're going to meet the goal. Believe me, if you start to fall behind, it's really hard to catch up. (Much wiser to over-write the word count whenever you can in case something comes up and you miss a day or two.) So write you huskies! Write!
The site usually settles down a few days into the month. It's just always jammed at the beginning.

Yes I already feel so behind. Pathetic. Day two and I'm already contemplating quitting. *sigh*

I mean..must finish review! THEN must write novel!

Morning! Er...afternoon for the rest of the country, I guess. How goes the writing?
My muse had a knockdown drag-out with my laziness and apathy this morning. She delivered a couple of well executed karate kicks and subsequently won the fight. I've blasted through about a thousand words in the last half hour and I"m so excited. I really think I'll be able to catch back up.
But how is everyone else doing?

My muse is grumpy even after I nicely gave it all the coffee my stomach could handle. But, I'm up to 5,200 which makes me happy since tomorrow will be a minimal writing day.

I'm up to 4,420 right now. I've got to get at least 600 more out tonight, and I'd like to get out more. Of course, there are also a ton of other things I want to do, like review City of Ember and take a bath and watch Heroes. And yeah, I suppose I should keep the kids out of trouble, too

6,060, and I'm done for the day - although the page won't load for me. I HATE my writing though - the whole first page is a load of rubbish, but luckily nobody will be reading any of it, so...

Sue's muse channeling Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents: "Wow, this coffee stuff is great! Coffee, coffee, coffee!!" katoot: No fear. I started out with nothing today and now I've got 3300. Things will look up. Maybe you could write about what your muse took in while sight-seeing. Way to go Sue, Lissa and sandrine!!! (multiple exclamation points mean I'm really happy for you. And I know exactly what you mean, sandrine. I could probably write a book on how much I don't like my writing. But then that would be weird.

3,339 here, but I just can't seem to sit down and convince myself to write today. Hopefully the library will make for a better atmosphere.

I guess I should've fed my muse some caffeine. She seems to be running out of steam. That and, after about halfway through my second chapter I started hating what I'm writing. I feel like I've been writing the same introspective kind of crap since high school (did I already say that on this thread? I'm getting old). I'm afraid I'm not creative enough to do fiction, but I don't like what I write. It sounds too much like chick lit, and that's not one of my favorite genres.

Ending the day at 5,359, which is good. (We have a trip in the middle of November.) Feeling a bit... well, I'll have LOTS of editing to do in this part, but that's the point, right? Right. I think it's time I crash. After one more game of Scramble

I, uh, just broke 2000. I've never been this behind this early in the month.
Having to work this past weekend definitely didn't help, and work, combined with school (which is forcing me to read three novels simultaneously, among papers and such) and various other freelance jobs, is making my outlook on the rest of the month not-so-good. It won't be for a lack of effort, but I won't be surprised if this is the year I don't reach 50k.
As for the quality of what I'm coming up with...it has that rushed awkwardness about it that is usually the case with NaNo stuff, but it's definitely the first step towards something good (or, at the very least, not bad).

I know it asks this on the NaNoWriMo site, but that thing is still ridiculously sluggish and I like talking you guys on here. SO that being said...
What music, if any, do you like to play while writing?
I use two of my Pandora.com radio stations.
Sometimes I keep it on my new-agey station. Calm, soothing sounds and few vocals, so I'm not paying attention to the words.
If I'm in a different mood I stick it on my Bhangra station. Jumpy beats to keep my mood picked up. I know a bare few phrases of Punjabi and no other dialects of India, so I can't understand any of the songs. So again I'm not paying attention to the words! Of course there's the occasional Panjabi MC song (like that one he did with Jay-Z) where I understand the lyrics.
EDIT: I'm having a bad case of procrastinitis today. Any excuse will do:
"Oh look it's already 11:30. I should eat!" *not even hungry*
"Gee, it isn't Halloween anymore so I should change my profile pic" *Insignificant AND I changed it to something not relevant after today, ensuring an excuse to procrastinate tomorrow*
"Aw I'm tired. I should nap before I have to go to work. Don't want to be tired on the job." *I'll only be there 3 hours, tops*
"Ooh I'd like to change the album covers on my Myspace photo albums." * I drew the line on that one.*
"I really should send out my landlord and credit card payments" *Okay that's valid but I can stop by the mailbox on the way to work if I leave, like, 5 minutes earlier*
"haha I should post about all my silly procrastination attempts on Mutant Reviewers"
