Ay up
I had a truly bizarre dream this morning and decided that it was so crazy that I would devote an entire thread to the insanity that are dreams.
I want to hear about your weird and wonderful dreams. So roll on up and post!
I don't remember the full details of my dream but what I do remember is this:
There was the black engineer from Event Horizon, Elizabeth Taylor and myself on board a spaceship. We were in space and really weird things were happening.
For no reason, I had to go outside in a spacesuit and do something. I've no idea what it was. I remember being scared though.
Elizabeth Taylor then turned the engines up really high and I could barely stand it. I remember shouting in to the intercom to get them to slow down but no one was listening.
The ship was going really fast and we were a long way away from our solar system. There was a point where I slipped and ended up falling through space.
I'm not quite sure how, but I literally fell on to a planet and was fine. I just picked myself up and looked around, finding myself in a perfectly ordinary suburban street. Only it was on another planet.
I remember looking around incredulously, thinking how remarkable it was that there was life on other planets and it was identical to ours!
And then the planet literally drained away through a hole in the top I woke up. I remember thinking "Well that's bloody typical! You find out there's life on other planets and then the planet goes and drains away."

I had a weird dream last night that my old History professor knew all of the Oscar nominees for 2009 before anyone else. The Dark Knight was not nominated for anything, and I was really ecstatic about that.
I'm not quite sure why, though...

Almost ALL of my dreams involve chasing or being chased. Usually this isn't stressful, or particularly memorable. But (nerdy as this makes me) my favourite variation on this theme was the time I dreamed I had Spider Man's powers, escaping the Hobgoblin. I was swinging around New York on webs, and it was fantastically real. I could feel the g-force of the swing, the stretch in the web, the wind on my face... I hated waking up that day.

Cool! And, interesting that it was the Hobgoblin. I personally love ol' Hobby (the first one, anyway), but I think most people's minds would have gone to Green Goblin.
What does that say about Poolie's subconscious, d'you think?

Wow, I wish I could have you guys' dreams. That's really cool.
I dreamed last night that my wife and I and several other people were being held hostage by a group of intelligent zombies (they looked kind of like the ones in the original Dawn of the Dead, but they were at least somewhat mentally compitent). Every hour or so they would grab one of the hostages and eat them.
We were being held in a really big room and one portion of it backed up to some sort of lake. We discovered that the zombies couldn't swim, so we all waded in the water. There were so many zombies though, that we realized eventually they would pile up in the water and then they could just crawl on top of the pile to come get us.
The details are fuzzy, but somehow I managed to escape. I was trying to bring help back, but no would believe me. This is about the time when I woke up.

I just recently had a strange dream. I was in a car with some friends and a man with flourescent hair and skin attacked one of my friends and made my friend flourescent and then the friend did the same to his girlfriend. Me and 2 others ran out of the car into the woods, we ran for what seemed like hours with a mob chasing us. We leaped into a river and my friends climbed up to shore. I stayed underwater and was considering swimming away. And then I woke up.

I recently had to climb a mountain with Mr. T, George Peppard, and a fourth person I can't remember. I was the only one who made it to the top, but, when I got there, the mountain split in half and the other side crumbled away, so I had to go back the way I came. Then Mr T gave an inspirational speech to a bunch of sick kids. Seriously.

My bosses are haunting my dreams lately.
A week ago I had some odd dream that my boss was chastising me for being weak enough to use a seat cushion on my office chair. She even threatened to fire me. I yelled at her for talking down to me over something so stupid. Then, apparently impressed by my moxie, she gave me a total asian-style task (which I assume I made up because she's from China). I had to mold and fire a perfect tea cup using her kiln in back. Because, you know, acupuncturists have kilns a their offices.
THEN this morning I had a dream that Justin called me and was chastising me for making some inappropriate comment on the message boards. I have never heard his voice before, so imagine my surprise when he sounded like my boss, who is a40 year old Chinese female acupuncturist. I remember trying REALLY hard not to snicker at his delicate Chinese voice. Hahaha....
So maybe tomorrow I'll dream that my boss is a bearded Italian man with a love for Ace Ventura.

I dreamt that I was alone in the desert, that I had been there, for decades. My clothes were deteriorated to rags and I had a long beard (something I long for in reality) and I was on my last legs. I stared up into the sun and burrowed my hands in the hot sand, when men in suits holding a large check made out to me ran out of nowhere. They informed me, that I had won.

My dreams are pretty normal. I'm somewhere, Nazis parachute in, I pick up an M1 carbine and start shooting them, zombies take over the world, pretty standard, really.
Sometimes really strange things happen, like a girl talks to me. Then zombies attack, and everything is A-OK.
