A good man, decent actor, and despite the fear he allowed to peek through, he fought a hell of a battle to the end. Can't ask for more than that. And speaking from experience, I'm glad he's out of pain now.

I'm going to listen to Patrick Swayze Christmas in remembrance. RIP EDIT: After spending more than just a millisecond to really think about it, I want to say more about him. I respect Patrick Swayze for his versatility and the person he was. He was a macho, muscular guy; a romantic; a dancer; a grounded individual in real life who wasn't afraid to poke fun at himself and be real. Just the fact that he was married to the same woman for 34 years says a lot about his character to me. Also he made a fantastic drag queen.  |

Patrick Swayze was my first big actor crush.
It's not a surprise, and I know he was suffering. It's still... geeze.
He just always seemed like a great guy, and even if the movies weren't always the best I always liked him.
RIP, Mr. Swayze.

I didn't know anything about the person, but what you and the newspaper write sounds impressive. As an actor -- what a range! That's much more important than a large number of blockbusters.

I never had noteworthy feelings about the guy as an actor one way or the other, but he was always a class act when dealing with this nightmare for the last two years. RIP.
