Just wanted to wish everyone luck and inspiration as we start at midnight! Caramel and I went to a kickoff party this afternoon with 28 other Detroit writers... was weird but cool, lots of enthusiasm and whatnot.

I'm not even going to attempt NaNo this year. I have to focus all my writing energy on my (legitimate) screenwriting program at a (legitimate) college.

Outline? What is this outline you speak of?
Yeah, I've set off on this adventure without my map, sad to say. I probably should've outlined and now wouldn't be a bad idea to start, but I'm still not sure where I want the story to go. As I was writing last night a major plot point changed and I had to even tweak my summary on the NaNo site. It was that major. I didn't mind it happening because it just came to me and was a really organic sort of thing. If I had an outline this inkling would've driven me crazy.
I'm impressed with myself, mostly for actually starting this year. I can't even comprehend that I've broken 6k already. I'm trying to pace myself so I don't get burned out, especially since I've got classes and two jobs to keep up with.
