So, I broke my rule about not watching new TV shows. Is anyone else checking out the new V?
I never saw the original (Netflix will be helping me catch up) but, after two episodes, I like what I see. Not all the acting is great, and I am a little concerned it'll turn into Battlestar Galactica-lite, but with alumni from BSG, Firefly, The 4400, and Lost onboard, I'm definitely willing to give it a fair shake.
How about the rest of you? Love it? Hate it? Does it make you want to rise up against Barack Obama and his evil lizard-alien policies?

So...the evil aliens have universal health care? Way to contribute to the political discourse, guys. *glares at television executives*
I'm on the fence about V so far, for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned, Al. I'm pretty much over the whole "who's human and who's an alien/Cylon/whatever" plot device, but they do use the "ripped human skin revealing green scales" to cool effect, so at least there's that.
I'll keep watching for now, but it hasn't quite won me over yet.

I avidly watched the original V back in the day. Michael Ironside was in it. Don't ask me why, but I thought he was uber-cool.
I have not, however, seen the latest retread...maybe for the same reason that I totally missed out on the latest Battlestar Galactica.
