| Since I don't believe in the Devil and I hold that all evil in the world is due to the choices we make, I have this to add to the conversation. I love his cake. Mmmmmm cake. |

Mmm... with no offense meant to you, DTH, I'm always leery of that particular argument Absolutely none taken I hold my hand up and say that you are all religiously educated to a level that I don't think anyone I know is. I guess we're all going to burn in hell I don't really have an argument as to why the Devil (and conversely, God) do not exist, as much as I like the "Lucifer argument" (but then I love that title ). I'm in the "Phoebe Buffet" camp, in that, I have my beliefs and that's as far as it goes. What I would like to say is that the MRFH forum constantly amazes me in that we can have an adult discussion and there is no flaming or trolling. That is a rare thing. I think you should all pat yourselves on the back Also, I had a really weird idea that perhaps Phoebe Buffet is not her real name and that perhaps her sister isn't her sister at all but actually is her. Does anyone but the viewer ever see them together? I think not.

Hey DTH - speaking of lack of education. Phoebe Bucket is who? I never watch TV. ('Cause I spend all my time watching movies. Go Netflix.) Oops. Buffet. Modify the post, quick...

I could be wrong, but I think he's talking about the character Phoebe from Friends. She had a twin sister (played by the same actress, Lisa Kudrow), Ursula, who was a recurring character on a different NBC show, Mad About You... very, very occasionally, the sisters would "meet" on one show or the other, but since they hated each other, it wasn't often. Now what all that has to do with the Devil, that I can't help you with. -D

I should think it was obvious. SOMEONE on Friends is obviously the devil. Possibly all of them.

Okay, without wanting to halt discussion on the present topic, let me add a slight off-shoot: the reason for the Devil's rebellion. Just off the top of my head, possible reasons for his rebellion and expulsion that we're told about include: -Resented that angels were born into a life of adoration and (at least in his mind) servitude, while humans were given free will, ability to believe or not believe in God as they so choose -D Sorry about the major cuttings to this quote, it was a long post after all. Hearing that one option for satan's war on god got me thinking first about Dogma and how Bartelby is accused of quoting Lucifer with the same grievances about humans getting free will and angels not. I just find it interesting how one of the big driving forces behind conflicts is wanting something you do not and/or cannot have. From the first war in the bible to the most recent wars today greed is a driving force behind conflict. Sorry to get off topic slightly I just felt the need to lob that out there.
