A Monkees misprint of their first album...one of the songs, "Papa Gene's Blues" was misprinted as "Papa Jean's Blues." As the song was named after Michael Nesmith's father, he threw a fit and it was quickly corrected. Not many got out with the misprint, and I have one of the ones that was incorrect on the jacket, the inner sleeve, AND the record label...having all three of those misprints intact, and the entire shebang in excellent condition for a 1960s record...it could be worth up to $600, more if the diehard collectors get serious. But I hoard my vinyl. I keep my vinyl. They are my preccccciouses.

LadyStarblade- that is amazing. I Love the Monkees. Me too...Davy Jones was my very first crush (when MTV was rerunning in the 80s, LOL) and I got to see them on their '86 reunion tour. I've come to appreciate the music itself a lot more since I've grown older, and I find that Mike is now far and away my fave of the guys. I even wear a green wool hat during the winter, LOL.

happiness is a 19 month old who asks to go to sleep and for his teeth to be brushed. I don't think we should have any more kids because there is no chance we'll get one even remotely this good...

I know, right?! Lady Luck keeps saying she's not sure we should try for another, because there's no way s/he'll sleep through the night as early or be as happy and smile-y as Baby Luck. Especially since my younger sister was the hellion of our family, and Lady Luck's older brother was the "good one" of theirs. -D

I actually feel guilty because I was an awful child who tormented my parents. umm... God likes me? he does this now, every night. Tonight we went into the bathroom, tried to brush his own teeth, allowed me to do it for him, and yelled "YAY TEEF!" Then into his room, where he asked for Beya (bear) and then kissed me and said "nite nite!" and leaned for the crib. Out cold in 2 seconds without a peep. feel free to direct me to this in a few months when I post something about him in the misery thread.

Working at an animal charity event and: 1: Witnessing two stormtroopers participating the dog walk 2: Getting to have my picture taken with some lady's red-tail boa around my neck. (will post soon when my boss e-mails me the pic)
This is exactly how a Saturday should unfold.

The dermatologist was unimpressed by my mole. Said it looks somewhat abnormal, but not the evil kind. Did a biopsy and will have results in about a week. He said if anything comes back abnormal they’ll just cut it out entirely and he is optimistic. Claims that the rest of my skin looks good and other birthmarks appear normal and boring, so he has very minimal concern. Feeling a lot of relief! Thank you all for your prayers. Keep saying a few that it comes back benign, but things are looking up.

Not to make light of it or anything, but "The dermatologist was unimpressed by my mole" would make an EXCELLENT first line of a novel.

Hurrah! Biopsy came back benign! YAY! Thank you all for your prayers. It really helped to know people were praying about this, because I was really freaked out.
