A mysterious infection that hits suddenly with a 103.8 fever and requires a 3 day hospital stay for IV antibiotics and a spinal tap, which means 3 days away from your son who you've never been away from for more than 10 hours and a week's worth of spinal headaches that make you want to die. but I'm almost all better, now

It's not quite as heavy as some of the stuff on here, but Misery is sunburn on top of your head. Male pattern baldness is a bitch, people.

Ouch. Sorry, coccatino.
If it's any consolation, I think at this point you can justifiably downgrade her job title to just "secretary."

...giving your two weeks notice. (see also: Happiness is...)
It's not exactly misery, but I feel like I just stepped off of a ledge.

The one season you want to watch the World Series most, you can't. awwwww---- that stinks! When I was in Italy in 2001 there was a sports bar that showed the world series in the middle of the night. If you have a decent internet connection most of the time espn's website has a really good gamecast

A thirty minute misery is...
Okay so I'm trying to sell the house, got a friend to paint shudders, you know spruce up the place curbside appeal blah, blah, blah. I get a call at work where he says, "...and I'll give you a report on what happened when you get home. Bye."
!
Now he's just changed his cell phone number, so I don't have it. Hey it's not that long 'til I get off work. I mean, he can still talk on the phone, so how bad could it be right?
So for thirty minutes I'm thinking of everything that could possibly happen. My head hurts.
Then he shows up, seems as soon as he hung up he realized that the wording was bad, and he knows me well enough that no phone call is going to convince me all is well. Nothing bad happened, he just wanted to give me the details of how it went.
Men.

ok, I'm not going to get into it... but this has been a bad week in a lot of different ways, so if any of the folks who pray could send some up for folks in my corner of the world, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Misery is getting ready to leave a beautiful city in just a week, and knowing that a good amount of time during those last days will be spent on schoolwork.
