Just got a call from my dad to say that my sister-in-law is currently in labor in Pittsburgh. She's doing fine, and we should be getting word from them soon. This'll be the first grandchild for my parents, and my first nephew, so we're pretty excited.

And yes, being the cool uncle is probably the best job in the new family unit - there is usually no chance of you having to change a diaper (unlike the grandparents, who usually get suckered into it at some point). My brother-in-law is relishing his new role as the cool uncle.

My folks. I assumed Lisa (my sister-in-law) wouldn't want to be shown on the net looking frazzled, and my brother has the flu pretty bad, so he also looks like crap. So, by default, momma and poppa Olivetti. Plus, it's the only picture I have of Charlie where his eyes are open, and he looks like he's planning his Stewie-ish revenge upon the world.
