I wouldn't classify this as "silly", but it was very funny and extremely interesting. Check out this video of Neil deGrasse Tyson (astrophysicist) addressing an audience on the subject of how one dies in a black hole, why Pluto really shouldn't be a planet (and why Mickey Mouse owns Pluto the dog), why you would never want to shake hands with an alien from Venus, and how we're all going to die in 2029. Maybe. It's over an hour long, but if you have the time to kill, this guy is a TERRIFIC speaker. Very engaging, not at all boring, and (my favourite) he makes science very accessible. Highly recommended viewing. If nothing else, the video is divided up into chapters, so it's easy to skip to bits you think sound fun. |

Intriguing indeed. I wonder if you could do something like that with music. Anyway, now I understand why so many movies feel rushed and 'splosiony. Given the circumstances, maybe we shouldn't judge them so harshly. |
