Word has come down from our corporate sponser that this is to be the last day of THE ULTIMATE HYPERBOLE MRFH CONTEST OF ALL TIME game. (At least until the next time the Head Mutant wanders off and inadvertantly leaves the staffers' cages open!)

So today, somehow, a winner must be decided!

I put it to you therefore, brethren, in the spirit of our mourning hours, to do and spake thusly, sayeth I:

Write a lamentation about one of your lost mutantly loves: A character killed off, a show cancelled, a series interrupted...the parameters are broad as long as it brought about in you, despair! This lamentation may be in any form that moves you, be it prose, poetry or clever commercial jingle.

Carnivale was boss
A great show from HBO
Cancelled, two seasons

The guard from Shawshank
John Connor from T Part 3
And more great actors

Kinda like Twin Peaks
In that it was quite surreal
But very unique

Season two ended
A cliffhanger, mind blowing
Then it was cancelled

And the Omega?
The fate of poor Ben Hawkins?
We will never know

I signed petitions
The internet had a lot
But it was in vain

Dumb executives
Reruns of Family* Guy
Are all I watch now

Boo hoo, boo hoo hoo

The fight was not yet over
The battle must go on

I really liked this "contest," I thought it was hilarious and fun (probably a testament to my lack of life, sigh). I thought the organized chaos aspect was neat, and I was amused at the power madness that swept through so quickly. I'd like to participate in it again at some later date.

Alas, I have no time for proper lamentation... I am off to the wedding of a family friend who apparently knocked up his girlfriend. Shhh! Don't tell!
Although I barely was able to participate, I enjoyed this muchly and would agree that it should be repeated at some other time. Especially now that I am back to work and able to spend weekdays online putzing around.
