Hey, everyone. Usually Justin is the one to announce new Mutants joining the fold, but I figure this once he'll make an exception, since it'll be a couple decades before this one's ready for reviewing duties. But meanwhile, Lady Luck and I wanted to introduce the latest staff member to soon be joining our little branch of MRFH: Yes, that's right: I'm pregnant. Now of course we'll have to start the tyke off slowly... no Howard the Duck or The Doom Generation for at least a year. But in the meantime, we're both very excited and wanted to share the news with everyone. Me, I just figure 1 A.M. feedings will be the perfect time to discover some forgotten cult gems on late night cable. -D

The new staff member is definitely off to a good start...he (edit: he? she? the sonogram makes me think you've got a he on your hands) reminds me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Congratulations, Drew and Lady Luck! Imaginary cigars all around! ;D

Congratulations! May your multiple re-watches of Dora the Explorer be fruitful. (Man, I love my nieces, but it really is never too soon to start them on the right path.)

Awwww, s/he takes a great picture! But when is anyone ready for The Doom Generation?
How sad is it that the first thing that came to mind was New Addition the group?

It would seem that my idiocy grows with each new day.
Apparently, it wasn't enough that I have the April Fool's joke completely go over my head, and then demonstrate such to everyone. No, I also had to come to this thread, and spend a solid minute--not long, but long enough--squinting at, and trying to assemble a relevant picture out of, the dark parts of a sonogram.
And all the while thinking to myself, "Gee, I hope Drew doesn't get mad when I comment on what a weird-ass-looking baby he's carrying. It is cool that he/she has some sort of crescent blade apparatus as part of his/her anatomy, though. Ooh! Auto-caesarean!"
Anyway, now that I'm off whatever I was on, and have realized that your baby does in fact bear a strong resemblance to a miniature human being; Conglaturation! A winner is you!

It's from Drew, it won't be normal Huckle... but it'll sure swim like the Dickens!
Grats Drew! May your nipples lactate happiness forever!

Oh, I so hope Lady Luck isn't reading this thread. Add my congratulations to the festive hurrah-ing!!!! I'm really happy for you guys! Come to think of it, my son was born in SE PA. That means that 4 out of 5 mutant offspring prefer being born in Pennsylvania! In other news, Al, we're going to need to use your office for our new MRFH on-site daycare facility. Hope you don't mind! You don't have to move out of it or anything.

That means that 4 out of 5 mutant offspring prefer being born in Pennsylvania! We did have a scare at about 31 weeks, where we thought Ducklet #1 was going to be born in New York... but he changed his mind. Drew, get your rest NOW, while you still can! ;D

Drew, get your rest NOW, while you still can! ;D Yeah, no kidding. I haven't had a decent night's sleep in 16 years, five months, six days...

Hmm... I'm going to guess Drew used the Forum to announce the baby to a LOT of people? That overshadows the old record by 15! I knew this was all a cheap publicity stunt!

Hey, if a pregnancy renewed interest in Friends, then it can do the same here. I guess that makes Drew Rachel...or Phoebe...

Thank you, everyone, for the well-wishes! Rest assured, it's all part of my ongoing efforts to make myself ever less relatable to our younger readers. Don't worry though, kids, Kyle promises he'll stay single and immature forever! While Lord knows I cherish the notion of a vicious, acid-spewing beast from hell cohabitating my beloved wife's womb with the fragile life who will soon capture all of our love and embody all my hopes and dreams for the future, the being who will carry on my proud family name, my firstborn child... even so, I do hope that's actually just her spleen or something. Nah, just that transexual guy who's been in the news lately. Congratulations! May your multiple re-watches of Dora the Explorer be fruitful. Thanks! Although if I have my way, the only exposure the kid will ever have to Dora is that Robot Chicken episode where she gets deported. How sad is it that the first thing that came to mind was New Addition the group? I wondered if anyone would catch the reference. Come to think of it, my son was born in SE PA. That means that 4 out of 5 mutant offspring prefer being born in Pennsylvania! Actually, don't tell Lady Luck, but the plan is for me to get "lost" on the way to the hospital and end up in Jersey, where we'll just end up at the nearest hospital. I gotta have my first kid born in Jersey. Hmm... I'm going to guess Drew used the Forum to announce the baby to a LOT of people? That overshadows the old record by 15! I knew this was all a cheap publicity stunt! Ironically, I actually didn't tell any non-MRFH readers I posted the news here. However, I'll gladly allow my impending spawn to take credit for the bump in traffic. Gotta build that self-esteem early. -D
