Just to add a small something on here..... if you put the albumn on repeat, there actually are still some amazing synchronizations for the rest of the movie, but not nearly as many as in the first part. Some believe that Floyd actually designed it this way to make people continue to wonder whether it was intentional or coincidental.

Getting back to the homicidal boy.... I heard somewhere that executives at the marketing department made up this to boost sales of the VHS. The sequel was coming out and they wanted to boost the appeal. Watch this to be completely creeped out by urban legends.... www.ebaumsworld.com/urbanlegends.html

Ok, well, I have a question. If the boy in the background is just a cut out. Or just some kid standing there. Then why does his head morph into a top hat? If you watch the scene on slow-mo (it's best with DVD, obviously) when we first see him, he's in the shot screen right in front of Ted Danson, his head looks normal. As Ted passes in front of the boy, his head starts to change shape. By the time Ted passes the boy, just before he's out of frame, it looks like he's wearing a Top Hat. Black flat top with a trim around the edge of his head. Would they go to that much trouble adding a special effect on a fake out?
I mean, I'm not saying it couldn't be faked, I'm just saying, it seems that the explanations for why it was faked or how, are just as varied as the "boy died in the building" stories. So, why is it being a fake suddenly more valid of an argument than the boy being a ghost? I still haven't heard any story that matches as to why the boy is a fake. And it's always "Oh, someone from the props department did it" "it was a joke from the director" "the studio decided to ad it for sales" "a guy in a van new a women who worked in an office who overheard a lady who said she worked on the movie and she said it was a hoax." Suddenly, that's all legitimate, but under no circumstance could it possibly be a haunting. I'm not saying it is a true story. It could very easily be a hoax. Ghost hoaxes are easy to pull off. I'm just saying, it doesn't seem the the hoax argument holds any more water when there are several accounts as to what really happened.

So, just so I have it clear... Druid is lobbying that we accept the reality that Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg are haunted?

Well, if we have to accept a reality with Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg in it, we might as well just accept that they'd be haunted. Haunted by the ghost of the truly crappy movies they've cursed us with!
;D

I wouldn't mind being haunted by Mr. Baseball.

I did a little more digging a while ago because my teacher at school still wasn't convinced it was a card board stand up. The reason it looks different is because of the camera angle and the fact it's a 2-D object. Also I had a slight case of insomnia the other Saturday night/Sunday morning and watched the film on cable (due to the fact I was to awake to sleep, yet to tired to do anything besides watch mind numbing, spirit crushing television). I actually spotted the stand up by the window while Ted Danson was looking out it. There is just nothing supernatural about it.
