Yeah yeah, the rumours are never in short supply. But this is first time I've heard this one, and it's pretty emphatic: Could Wolverine be James Bond?Interesting. What do you guys think? Personally, if that's true, it could be a real shot in the arm for the Bond franchise.

Actually, I think that could be good. He's definitely versitile enough! (Kind of wish I could see him in his new musical.) I could handle Ewan McGregor as Bond, too. Of course, not sure what good it would do, since I'm not remotely a Bond fan anyway. (No issues- just not to into that sort of movie.)

Anytime I have suggested Ewan McGregor (a personal fave choice for me too), I've been leaped all over for making such a stupid suggestion, mostly due to the fact that he's too skinny.
I dunno. He looked pretty decent in a tux in Down With Love!

Skinny, yeah. But you're so right about that tux!!!!!!
And to be honest, I think Bond's sexier when he leaves his clothes on. Any guy can be naked. Not every guy can wear a tux so well and have the suave air....

I think Hugh Jackman is a good choice, but I'm kinda pulling for Clive Owen. He seems like a deeper, more charismatic Bond. Hugh Jackman always struck me as more of a goofy class-clown type of guy.

Scotland, England, Wales, Rep of Ireland ( ) and now Australia? An Australian bond? A suave Australian? Hmmm just doesn't fit in my mind... I would have said Clive Owen as well.

Just thought of a really dumb idea that might be better than whatever they'll do with Bond.
How about putting Connery back in.
Think about it. The origonal book plots are all depleated, so it doesn't really matter what you do. So we could change "James Bond" to "Old James Bond". Just imagine that.

Russell Crowe as Bond? I think I'm going to puke. Personally I just can't see him as Bond. He strikes me as the type of guy who's more likely to bash you with a chair than incappacitate you with a wrist watch net launcher.
Ewan McGregor: Don't see him either. Sure he looked pretty good in the tux in Down With Love. He was quasi-suave in that movie too. But doesn't seem suave enough for Bond to me. Plus I don't think he would want to start on another movie series.
Hugh Jackman: So far he's the one I like the best. But then I haven't heard of any of the other actors mentioned in the article.

I agree about Russell Crowe. Ick.
And I do agree about your point with Ewan McGregor not doing another series. To be honest, I think Bond is too mainstream for him. But I still think he could play the role.
More rambling.

I think Brosnan should pay him one last time to kill off Bond. I sick of them already.

I would love to see McGregor cast as Bond (though he would need to bulk up a bit). What about Clive Owen, he would make a truely good Bond, at least we know he does car chases well. -Jade

Lol, Ebaums is a great site.
Anyway, back on topic. Hugh Jackman would be okay, but I'd have to go with the old bond theme. Bring back Roger Moore!!!!!!!

Bring back Roger Moore!!!!!!! Oh please no. Not Roger Moore. Anyone but Moore. I would rather see George Lazenby again than Roger Moore. Besides you can't bring back an old Bond. Bond has been 30something for decades. It's too late to change now. Plus if you were going to bring back a Bond. Everyone knows it would be Sean Connery. Connery is, was, and ever shall be Bond.
