I have to admit, I'm really enjoying the Kanye meme. Is that bad?

Interesting article indeed, Al. If he doesn't feel the love, maybe his mistake was a too commercial career. Well, not commercial, everything's commercial, but the article makes a point of him nearly always being where the Really Big Money was. That's about short term success, but no way to become beloved.
I don't know about the specifics of the unfair reviews, but that sounds typical. More spectacular is better. More expressive is better. Louder is better. Bah.

I admit, I sometimes wonder, whatever happened to that guy? I think part of it was he got famous too fast and people just eventually back lashed. I'd like to see him come back myself.
I gotta say I kind of agree with the article's feelings about the way people look at the "straight man" characters. It's like how people were comparing Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in 3:10 to Yuma. It wasn't about the acting. Reckless outlaw with sick puns vs. downtrodden farmer, gee who's more interesting?

Jedi accuses UK department store of religious discrimination"Jedi are very welcome to shop in our stores although we would ask them to remove their hoods. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Luke Skywalker all went hoodless without going to the Dark Side. If Jedi walk around our stores with their hoods on, they'll miss lots of special offers." Ha!

Ever wondered how iconic movie characters would deal with a zombie attack? Wonder no longer! "it's entirely possible (given J.K. Rowling's writing style) that the school grounds contain some preposterous artifact that is specifically designed for dealing with thousands of zombies at once. Look for Harry to find this artifact accidentally in the third act."(language warning)

Ever imagined the three dimensions? Length, width, depth? How about the fourth dimension, time? Well, if you've ever wanted to get a grasp of the tenth dimension, this might help. It might also split your brain in two.

My head hurts. Incidentally, have you ever seen Flatland? It's a neat CGI independent film from the point of view of the 'ant on a newspaper.' I saw it at a film festival a few years ago but has apparently gained a following since then. In other news, An analysis of the new Star Trek.
